Bit interesting, the table excluding the Sydney-Wellington results: (6-1 agg, 3 losses)

Team                     P   W   D   L   F   A   GD   Pts
Wgtn Phoenix        24  10   10  4   36 28   8     40
Sydney FC             24  12   3    9   29 22   7     39

They have lost 9 to other teams, we only 4. We've scored more against the other teams and conceded more for a  slightly superior goal difference. And have one more point.

We didn't play them in Wellington - so indirectly a product of our home fort?

What does this mean? We have done better (just) than Sydney, against the other teams over the course of the season. but lost to them 3 times. So beating them is overdue? Thoughts?

I wish I could block out the way they won the Palmy game but thinking about it other than the stupid penalty in front of goal, it was an even game.

Wasn't really a game, just 22 men standing round staring at the ball flying round in gale force winds.
You know we belong together...

Pressure's more on them to win, being at home and being the minor premiers.

We've shown that we are mentally strong...the pressure has been on us in our past few games, especially the past two playoff games to win at home in the playoffs. It is easier said than done, and we did it - both times. The shoe's on the other foot (so to speak) this week, we'll be dangerous

We haven't played to our peak against Sydney at all...and in all three matches, we had Crowther keeping. A stingy defense is also anchored by a solid goalkeeper, and in Reddy, we've got someone in great form....perhaps league-best form. He's also been to the last two Preliminary Finals. Durante's won a title too.

OK, I know that Reddy is streets ahead of Crowther and since he has come on the scene we look so comfortable at the back (mostly).

But Crowther wasn't the one to blame for the Clayton's penalty at RoD, and in fact made several good saves in the match.

Yup, the RoD was a mistake never to be repeated, just doesn't compare with a proper home game....we would have won if we'd have been playing at the RoF
