To ensure a decent crowd for this game the FFA should market it to Kiwis living in Sydney.

Hmm i wonder if Siggy will get the nod. The article today suggested Ricki didn't know yet. I still think McKain is a safer choice

Why the hate btw? What have we ever done to the Nix to deserve such a hateful sign? I can understand why Sydney would do it, we've made their life miserable on plenty of occasions, but why you guys?

It hurts our feelings, you know.

Don't worry KP, Homer always supports Melbourne over Sydney, Gold Coast or Newcastle.

Hate Sydney, hate Gold Coast even more!

McKain's better, surely he'll start over Siggy.

McKain needs to start for mine. We were noticably shakier with Siggy - though that could be put down to the way Newcastle played which caught out Hearfield and Lochy on several occasions and drew Siggy to the wings

Have to start McKain I say, the defence on Sunday held up but we did look a little shakey on the breakaway compared to the Perth game.

mckain to start siggy o9n the bench instead of costa, likely to see daniel and diego/caceras (if back from baby duty) - no other changes.....

+ Daniel, Caceres, Diego are better options. Dadi for scaring the opposition with his haircut

I'm certainly not saying this is a great idea, but what of the idea to play 5 at the back.  Sydney have conceded one to us and scored 7.  We need to keep them out.  We've been doing well recently but I doubt that is going to be enough against Sydney.  I know we have defensive-minded midfielders and all and who would we drop is a big issue, but just a thought.

no, we have been winning lately with attacking football, I don't think it's wise to switch to a negative brand, going against what has been working

The key is whether Lia/Manny/Brown can better McFlynn/Kisel/Musailik which they haven't in the 3 games played so far (though I don't think Manny was there for the first 2)

Does anyone know if Corica will be back for Saturday?

no, he has retired early due to injury

I think Muscat could be the big difference this week. May shut them out completely. Im quite interested to see if Sydney try the same formation this week with Bridge playing in behind the strikers.

Speaking of Manny and slightly/completely off topic but are he and Kevin brothers or not?
I thought they were?

Oh okay... They are both from Sunshine and both played for Sunshine George Cross, in hindsight that doesn't mean much.
I'm sure when Phoenix played Melbourne this season they made a big deal about the Muscat's facing off against each other and I just figured they were brothers. Wrong.

Cheers man.

What's Brosque's status? He doesn't score many goals but he's often the player I dread running at us with the ball.

on the TVNZ website there is a longer version of the Ifill interview...done on Monday.

Ifill said he has a knee problem...they think it might be a medial ligament strain and that he was seeing a Doc later that day(Monday)

I was down there on Monday as the team wandered along Oriental Bay. Who should have been running the other way but a very fit looking Mark Paston. He was belting along at a good clip...the Nix lads gave him a bit of stick as he ran passed. He looks good for the WC

Fingers crossed for Ifill. We are ferked if he can't make Sydney

Assuming a starting line-up of; Reddy,   Troy, McKain, Dura, Lochhead    Manny, Brown, Lia   Ifill, Leo and Greeny changes from the 3 league games against Sydney will be;

1-0 loss; Reddy (Crowther), Muscat (Daniel) and Greeny (Caceres)

3-1 loss; Reddy (Paston), McKain (Sigmund), Hearfield (Daniel)

2-0 loss; Reddy (Crowther), Hearfield (Sigmund), Lia (Ferrante), Brown (Diego)

Other change is in formation with Manny moving to midfield .

Most important change is in confidence level of team.

I think the changes - especially Reddy in and Muscat to midfield are not insignificant.

Feeling we have a solid shot at what is a very good Sydney team.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Remember how Eric Watson brought 10k of tickets for the Warriors play offs over in Sydney a few years ago. And kiwi's living there who had a kiwi passport had to show up to get a free ticket. Be nice if that happened for Phoenix.

Help please if possible. I have family recently moved to London has anyone got any web sites they can go to to get a live feed to watch game. I have read elsewhere references to sites but no detail. I presume you can get commentary on the ZB site but pictures would also be good.
