I really think this is a make or break game.
Last game was a chance for players to put their hand up and push for a regular team spot.
I think Vince Lia did that yesterday and because of this he should be further up Rickkis pecking order. Certainly think he would make an excellent wingback(maybe next time the AW's are away?)
This is my thoughts for next week anyway:
--------------------------------------------------Moss--------------------------------------------------------------
Christie-------------------------------Dodd---------------O'Dor-------------------------------------Lochhead
-------------------------Brown----------------------Aloisi-----------------------------------Daniel--------------
-------------------------------------------------------Felipe-------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------Smeltz-------------------------Coveny---------------------------------------------
Subs: Paston, Lia/Johnsen, George, Elrich
- Think Ferrante has had too many chances. Is missing in action far too much and lacks consistency.
- We are playing too many similiar players in the midfield. Cant have Johnsen, Brown and Aloisi playing at the same time.
-We need to play attacking football. That is when we are at our best.

ah, okay.
What would you do then? Drop Tim Brown?

Me too to be honest because i think Johnnos better. but i know Rickki wont do that.
I hope he plays an attacking formation and team.
yeah the midfield's tough...

I would take lia over george. George has yet to show this creativity everyone is talking about were as lia had an extemely good game. I'm sure if Lia was brazillian many here would be wanting him to start.
Ricki has a tough but VERY good problem of too many good players to pick from. Personally I think whatever team he puts out will be the best one available. I trust his judgement as he is a lot closer to the players than we are. Lets just hope the "problems" of selection stay this way all season. It can only be good.
Its no longer a problem.

George hasnt done much. But he looks like HE CAN play. Lia got an opportunity to start. George hasnt gotten that chance.
What else could he have done?
Its no longer a problem.

he's terrier like and let's the keeper know that all 4 foot not much of him is there but he's no Kevin Keegan on what I've seen so far
Be good to see Tim Brown get a start but as already noted it'll be difficult to drop either Johnson or Aloisi
I do think we'll see good things from Lia and Elrich (he might take longer to get up with the pace)
we all seem to agree on our back four
lets hope that no-one picks up a knock in fiji
This year we have used an part-timer at Right back in 2 of our 3 worst performances. Christie is growing in to the job nicely and to change for the sake of change is foolish.
...and again the man being voted MOTM last weekend, Johnson left out altogether ?
Was johnson the man of the match.Oath.ummm i jus see him and alosi as players far too similar.Im only saying perhaps its johnson to have a breather because aloisi is captain.but there definatley seems to be a pace issue when opposition dart through the central midfield.has browny got a bit of toe?remains to be seen but give him an oppurtunity.Christies been fine in terms of distribution but on defence he struggles slightly.Give lia a crack he deserves it.
lia may deserve a chance but christie doesnt deserve to be dropped
dropped is such a strong word i dont see it like that.still tryin to crack the right formation thats how i see it but christie will most likely keep that position and good on him.i just still dont think weve found our best starting 11

Our best performance of the season has come with 2 strikers on the field, when we started with Cov's and Smeltzy against Perth. I'd like to see Ricki do that again.
