what are we getting infected with?
football fever right?
with all the creative talent in wellington i do wonder why the phoenix has got quite poor marketing for it, surely they could come up with a better strategy to get their name out in the wellington community?
and it shouldn't be football fever it should be phoenix fever!

regarding marketing, it was a pleasant surprise this morning to
take the off-ramp from the motorway along aotea quay and looked up
to see phoenix flags attached to light poles around the stadium -
with my gorilla-like abilities i may be persuaded to climb up and
naff off with one!

supporter?

at the Open Day I overheard someone asking one of the Phoenix staff
who the marketing manager was - didn't catch the name in the reply
but did hear him say that the person wouldn't be starting work for
another week. I suppose somebody good would have been on a quite
long notice period. I expect one of Terry's marketing people from
his property development company has been covering in the meantime,
and they probably wouldn't know anything about football, or maybe
about sport at all. Perhaps things will improve once the new person
gets settled in? Here's hoping, cos I think the "pizza" ads are not
much cop either (though strangely my wife who works in
communications/marketing thinks they're good!?!)

The bus shelter adds were up for a week before i realised they had
anything to do with the phoenix. It wasnt until i read a comment on
the forums here that i realised it what they were about and looked
a little closer.

That's as likely as a good looking jambo -that doesn't have scuffed knuckles, monobrow and skewiff eyes.
