This afternoon Terry and a few of the team including Chris Greenacre, Daniel and Paul Ifil made a little boy very happy.

My Son has been admitted into hospital for a stomach problem this week and been through the wringer a little bit. This afternoon Terry and a few of the lads showed up at his hospital door and came in to say Hello and Terry presented him  with his own Phoenix scalf. I know the lads take time out of their day to visit the childrens ward but I just wanted to say a big Thank You for making my lads day a good one. He is looking forward to getting a copy of the photo they had taken together.

thats brilliant PVFC -  my son got to shake hands with Daniel in the weekend it means so much to the children and that is what makes this team so special, they are really genuine, friendly and approachable
I hope your son gets better soon & he will  treasure taht moment and the photo.

P.S. Heard about nix at nairnville. Havnt been able to get down there in a while - have a bad back injury. Is that their first time there?

It's good isn't it? My kids played on it quite a few times last season (Sunday was the girls league - only cancelled once I think due to near hypothermia conditions).

Unfortunately more pitches will be on a slow roll-out schedule due to lack of funds.

Somewhat off topic

All the best to your son, PVFC.

It's great to see the Nix players & management making time to get out into the community, especially for the kids.  Well done Nix

Probably already known but I heard that Terry always supplies free tickets to matches for child cancer sufferers.

They really are a great bunch, never shy away from making the fans happy. Things like Daniel nearly always giving away his socks at the end of home games, and Paston only too happy to pass on some old gloves mean so much to people.

We have just got our son out of hospital so thanks for all the best wishes.

The little boy in the blue top with the lads around him is my son. The one with the lads looking to one side is when they were chatting to be about his illness.

Also a big thanks to whoever came in and dropped a copy of one of the pics at the ward. He never came in to me so I was not able to thank him personally. It will go on my sons wall framed and pride of place with the scalf.
