Wellington Phoenix FC, it's just watching Brazil!
(Nix vs Perth, it's just like watching Brazil vs Auckland!)
The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!
...or Diego (sort of Brazilian), or Patrick.
Guess you need to be good enough to have made a mark for your side to make a mark on the league.
Nice pun
/still calls the Jet's home ground "Marathon Stadium" from his Illawarra Steelers supporting days
Felipe, Daniel and Juninho have all impressed. But one expected it of Juninho. Daniel and Felipe have been pleasant surprises. Does the Phoenix have two of the three best Brazilians in the A-league?
Three for me, and two for them.
I didn't think Daniel had delivered on the promise he showed in pre season (e.g. the Melbourne goal) and had been overshadowed by Felipe. He somewhat proved me wrong v Perth though - only had one shocking pass (he does those way too often..) and had a great game.

Wellington in general has enriched the A-League

And yes, yes they have. Daniel and Felipe are both players that any team in the A-League would want. But they're ours and nobody else can have them

Here we go
Here we go
Here we go
Felipe's better than Juninho.
Here we go
Phoenix all over the world.
THE BEST BRAZILIANS IN THE LEAGUE!!!!!
Oh, those Brazilians, you know? Circa 1970? Broke the mould. Theory out the window. Free expression of football. Uncategorisable. Is that a word? It is now! You know? Far cry from small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts. Rush goalie. Two at the back, three in the middle, four up front, one's gone home for his tea. Beans on toast? Possibly, don't quote me on that. Marvellous.
Juninho has been responsible for some good things this season, but no more than Felipe.
Because he's not the best centre back ? He became a risk and got replaced. He may well make the bench if O'Dor is missing for anytime, but otherwise unlikely.
The team as a whole was out of sorts last night, the Central Defenders were certainly not worse than anyone else and with one of the on the sideline after a kick in the face for the 2nd it would be a big call to bring Clebo back in to replace them when he's looked questionable.

Conceded the
whole team was out of sorts.I'm over last night much quicker than it took to get over the Salty Dogs loss though. Probably because apart from the goals we looked pretty good in that. Last night you just have to write off to a sh*t day.
The Newcastle one was quick as well because the injustice of it was so large.
Already without striker Daniel due to suspension, the visitors lost fellow Brazilian Felipe to a hamstring injury in the 41st minute, and midfielder Steven O'Dor was substituted at half time after sustaining what appeared to be a broken nose thanks to a confrontation with Reinaldo.
Herbert said he expected Felipe to be out for at least a fortnight, a cruel blow to the Kiwis, who will lose a swag of players to national selection ahead of their next encounter against Newcastle.
