I'll leave it to others to say whom won what but i do want to say I & the wife had an excellent time and enjoyed meeting a lot of fans. Having Miles davis as the MC was a brilliant stroke of planning and I hope he becomes a rgular for these awards.

Some of his humour was so subtle and some so blatant. An awesome fella whom gives as good as he gets.

Four Kings put on a good evening, the food was excellent and the drinking plentiful - except me because I was driving. Watching the final on 3 42" plasmas is certainly different. I lwant to thank them for helping us all have a good time. The staff manners and helpfulness are a real plus for this establishment.

One highlight for me was sitting at a table ating my dinner when someone beside me reached out for someone else and managed to clean the table of two pints of guiness and half a pint of bitter yet avoided getting neither me nor my meal - which i continued eating, soaked with any of the contents. I did feel for someone whom wore most of the contents on his YF tee shirt and pants but as it didn't happen to me I wasn't unduley upset.

I will of course be corrected and rightly so but I did see ticket numer 89 present so I am not sure of the final numbers in attendence, suffice to say the place was very busy.

Having the YFmobile parked up outside added to the touch of class.

My thanks to the organisers and participants of this evening and making it happen. I for one was not disappointed but pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed Miles's ad-libbing and respect to the prize winners, you deserved them.

Over 100 in the end tonight.  Thanks to everyone for turning out and to Matt, Nick, Sarah (4Kings) and Miles (donut) for making it a great time.

Fantastic to meet and chat with so many of you.

Smithy.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Yep I ended up wearing two pints of guiness but hey I still had a great night.  It seems it all came out in the wash even after a good 40 min of drying during the second half :)

Unfortunately, due to a last minute change of plans I was unable to attend, sounds like it was a great night so well done to everybody involved.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I won't name and shame him, but the poor guy who knocked over the drinks was reaching out to pat me on my way to the bar. I initially stopped to see if I could help clean up the mess.... but then thought I should leave it to those in the fallout areas and carried on to the bar!

Worse still, the drink spiller was not drunk! My only regret not having my camera videoing it in slow motion for "Youtube" but I was busy eating my dinner which amazingly was not hit or splashed on. Still nickle, you took it for what it was - a pure accident, others would not be as mature about it.

If there was a disappointment, it's a shame Terry S. or any players didn't make the effort to be there. Not all of them went on holiday to Adelaide. And let's be honest, they had the same length of warning about the event as us.

The prizes were cool shame my TAB ticket picked CCM, can I swap the stub for a Scarf?? Thanks to the gentlemen for putting up all the prizes. Made for a fun part of the evening.

Moment - Smeltz opening goal against Melbourne
Goal - Elrichs (would have been interesting he'd missed out on the Fever award, but then got the A-League one).

Special award for Services to New Zealand football went to Terry's barber.

Hey, I'm not Auckland any more, remember! Missing person of night, maybe.

I'm really sorry I had to miss it, if for no other reason than it cost me a fortune. I had paid for ticket, flights and accomodation so it's the most expensive night out I've ever not been to

thanks Miles for being a great MC  (though I wonnder what he thought of getting "Who Are Ya'd"

The Barber was Mark Attard - we presented him with a Nix home shirt for getting in the ear of Terry about getting behing the A-Lge bid when he came in to get his barnet seen to. It wasn't widely reported that he did a bit of a sell job on Tezza - so when we found out we thought he deserved congrats.

Despite showing affects of the un-named Beer spiller, Nickel stands proud beside "The YF Mobile" !!

The stain caused by two glasses of guniness and a 1/2 glass of some other beer!!

Not so un-named : I doubt I got juggler of the year for how many times I can keep a football in the air!

Cheers for the anonymity, but it's my responsibility so I'll admit to being the culprit. I don't know whats the bigger tragedy - the stain or the waste of Guinness!  Haha

Huge apologies again, especially to Nickel (lemme know if you need a replacement shirt), Lonegunmen (who got me the pints in the first place) and the excellent staff at Four Kings who cleaned up after me while I retreated to the TAB to place a halftime bet on the Mariners to win it. (However I filled out the form wrong and almost put a bet on the Victory to win it...wtf?)

Last night was awesome, was great to hang out with those who saw me and to meet a few others, Miles did a great job as MC, Four Kings was awesome as always, and I still maintain that Eejit was robbed for best chant

Robb did you notice not one drop landed on my meal (Nor me) and I stayed cool and carried on eating? Hows that for calmness under pressure?? I was sure you were going to catch one of those glasses though, you must've missed by a millimeter to two.

I'm just glad you had a good time and that Miles Davis didn't see it otherwise you'd have given him some new material to use! It was good to meet Nickle for the first time too.

You missed Miles Davis on form. Some of his one liners notably, the political ones were a bit deep for some but they were damn funny. The man improvises brilliantly and I hope we have him again next year. A damn good night!

Oh that wasn't a spill, that was seasoning. Everyone knows beef tastes better with a hint of guinness  (Actually I hadn't realised some got on your meal, so my apologies for that! Hope it didn't ruin it, I'll have to shout you next time I see ya)

I thought I caught one of the glasses but not before the damage was well done (I ended up drinking a bit more afterwards anyway so my memory isn't the best haha). I know I've got good reflexes, hence why I play goalie for Wellington Lacrosse, but I think a save that grand was beyond me even on my best days!

Haha don't worry about the shirt robb, the guinness came out of it nice and easy... its almost a shame as it would be a limited edition with guinness stains.
