I understand thats he's coming back from a serious injury, but how many seasons do you give the guy to stamp his mark?

he's currently taking up our 1 and only marguee spot. I think there are others players that would make us a stronger team.

He's put in a few decent crosses but not often enough and has struggled to beat his man on the outside and take it to the line and either cut back or put in a great cross.  He definitely needs more time to complete his injury comeback and unfortunately we only have four games left. 

If he scores another wonder strike v Sydney at home and then nails one v Melbourne away I'd be all for signing him again - but at this stage he has a lot of work to do to convince me he's worth a spot in our squad, let alone our marquee spot....

you make it sound like hes into his thrird year, give the guy a break he is improving every game.

When he raced to the touchline to retrieve the ball and then he sent a nice cross over to Coveny, unfortunately it went just over Coveny's head.

he'll getter better when he gets fitter.. you see him now well  i reckon that he'll be twice as good by the time next season comes around.

I can't believe he's still starts when we have Daniel on the bench, all his crosses don't beat the first man and when he losses the ball he just stands there instead of running back to try get it back.  If he wasn't our Marque you might keep him, but you could probably find half a dozen players for way cheaper that would do just as good job as he's currently doing. betters2007-12-18 10:46:35

Yea unless he shows some real improvement he should probably go because I can think of players in our squad now I'd rather have as marque.

Agreed, very good point about Daniel, if possible drop him under the cap as a regular player and if there's cash in the bank (hope T's got deep pockets) get a class, fit marquee.

DLB - there needs to be a third option: Has been real, real, crap - but should be perservered with for at least one more season as he's technically one of the best we have.

Well Daniels out for the next 2 games so I guess we'll have to stick with Elrich.

I say keep him but only as a squad player and free up our Marquee slot for someone who is truly Marquee. That then depends on whether his ego and his wallet will allow him to only be a squad player.

I thought he had a good second half vs Adelaide. Put in quite a few decent crosses, and bet his man quite a few times as well. The most frustrating thing for me though is his lack of urgency, particularly coming back when he gets the ball taken off him. You tend to wonder whether he really wants to be here, or is just passing the time?

its not really posible to get rid of him this late but if he continues to underperform i think he should be gone in the off season.
