Well done to WPFC for a great result.

Wellingtonians living abroad have something to pine for! Loving the half time texts that wake me up in the night with the great news!

Now I've just gotta find some youtube footage of the shirts off incident and the goals!

Great effort YF, it sounds from what I've read so far that you lot turned it on too.

Well,this is a shock.
Left UK in '98 but hadn't been in those parts for a while. Did a google & appears they were bought out. The name is however thriving in the "States".
According to another site though it seems there is still a pub above the BR station there so I think it would still be worth a butchers.

Love that place, used to always stop off there on the way home from working in Khandallah.

There's also a Phoenix takeaways place in Berhampore I believe, on Adelaide Road.

Hey Lonegunman went to see WBA V QPR on sunday. Good game, have to say QPR were trash though.

There fans were brilliant even when they were getting beaten 5-1 with 5 minutes left they started singing 6-5 were gonna win 6-5 were gonna win. Thought that was great.

don't even start me mate. Professionals? Yeah right! Glad you saw a game with goals. So we followed up by letting Colchester win 4-2 on Wednesday. Major surgery required to the current squad. Lonegunmen2007-10-06 22:19:02

What about this Lonegunman...

In other news (from the Telegraph UK)

- QPR want Glenn Hoddle to take over as manager at Loftus Road after cooling their interest in Glenn Roeder.

I know you cant really make excuses but the death of Ray Jones really would have been crippling for the morale of the club. Its a hard time for everyone involved with the club.

Ray Jone's death has affected some, Dexter Blackstock in particular. But that is still no excuse for profesionals putting in lackluster performances.

Glenn Hoddle? FFS we'll all end up Christians or Scientologists.

Sir Les? Well he's got all his badges now, could be interesting.

But back to the point of the thread, It's awesome our UK mates are getting to see the A League and in particular, the Phoenix. Long may it continue.

As I type I am watching the Syd Mel game, F all Police there hasseling the fans!
