Has anyone been compiling the votes in the Man of the Match polls to see who comes out as the fans Man of the Season? Although it would depending on voting strength per each game one way around it would be to award a 3-2-1 vote to the those who get the most votes (i.e if Daniel tops the polling with 182 votes, he get the 3, the next gets 2.)

Then at the end of the season at the Phoenix prizegiving there can be a Yellow Fevers Player of the Season award.....

Wouldn't it be easier to just do an end of season poll?  Given people have voted for non-playing substitutes (!) the reliability of individual match polls may be a bit questionable.

Kiwi_Jambo and I were thinking last night how about a Yellow Fever awards night dinner somewhere where we give awards for 'Player of the Year', 'Young Player of the Year', 'Goal of the Year'

A YF supporters awards dinner - I like it.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Good point Cantona.

Thats why I suggested the 3-2-1 system so people who make dick votes don't affect the outcome. Plus over the course of the season, you may forget a game where a player had a particularly good game. Using the MOM polls keeps the feeling and voting from that game current and relevant to the end of season award DrQuack322007-10-03 13:37:39

both are real good ideas. the yellow fever dinner would be magic, would have to be a worry about the amount of clothing that would be left on at the end of the night. the warriors have a similar thing that u vote on in each game and they have a fans player of the year, presumably the club will have an end of year function. guessing itll be the wednesday after we win the grand final

I'm one of those who made a "dick vote", but I still believe Mark Paston deserved it for the Adelaide game as he waited for his turn very patiently.

So you're talking about 'egg-chasing' on a football forum? Nice, work co-founder...

I wouldn't worry too much about the 80th minute and non-players getting votes, they'll all be cancelled out with the number of votes that are being made.
