While we're signing Brazilians, with the anticipation no doubt building for Wellington football fans, Perth Glory's (the now most desperate club in the A-League) only recent news on their official site during the past 10 days has involved 1) A "Players Cue Up" celebrity snooker tournament.  2) And now this:

An intricate web

Reviewed by Perth Glory midfielder Naum Sekulovski.

The latest instalment of the Spiderman series has again spun a web thats sure to capture long time fans of the friendly neighbourhood super hero while enticing those new to the Spidey franchise!

After the huge success of the first two Spiderman films, Columbia Pictures hit the back of the net before a frame had even been shot by reuniting original cast members Tobey Maguire (Peter Parker), Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane Watson), James Franco (Harry Osborne) and Director Sam Raimi for the latest epic adventure.

Add to the mix a couple of new, and I think the best, villains to wreak havoc on New York plus blonde bombshell Gwen Stacy (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) to pull on Spidermans heart strings and an intricate web of rivalry and confrontation is created.

Sandman and Venom tear up the screen as Spidermans latest nemesis while the hero also endures an ongoing personal battle with a clingy alien that tries its best to bring out his dark side.

A delicate combination of stories within the film ensures you remain glued to your seat but are always looking around the corner for more.

Its reported that Raimi clocked-up a bill of around $300 million making this film and he didnt waste a cent with a high impact action escapade thats sure to be one of the biggest releases of the year. Included in the price tag is a set menu which provides viewers with a main course of high flying action using outstanding visual/special effects, a decent serve of drama, with the odd slice of humour.

The constant inclusion of a cheeky style of comedy throughout the feature made for a great abb workout by the time the film was over.

Spiderman enthusiasts will no doubt be impressed with the hope of more to come while first timers are sure to head straight to the DVD store to rent the previous two flicks.

Myself and team mates Aleks Vrteski, David Micevski and Jamie Harnwell were lucky enough to see the WA premier of the film and if their reaction is anything to go by then Spiderman 3 will be a massive hit!

If the guy has a passion for reviewing movies its all good, no harm done he's only preparing for a career after football, which should be encouraged, good on him I say.

It wouldn't be so sad if it was on the 'Games and Fun' section of the website aimed at teenagers etc.  But this is the club that dominated OZ football not too long ago, with the fans now screaming out for news on how the club will steady the ship...but now, their players seem more concerned with improving their snooker/golf games, and watching juvenile action flicks.  But who cares - their problem, not ours! Not as funny as when they signed Steve McMahan as coach and Brian Deane to lead their attack.

I think something that was funny was the poll question. On there team page they currently have 0 strikers. So they ask which area they need to recruit the most.

It's a tangled web we weave.
Hope they took their keeper. He'll need to be as agile as spiderman if they want to maintain respectability this season.

Give em a break, it's not like they're very occupied between February - July. They barely train off-season as it is, so if they're into the whole film review thing, then more power to them. Just some harmless entertain for themselves and the 3 or 4 Glory faithfuls.

Oh, and ronaldoknow, if you mean Tando Velaphi, yes they did sign him.

I'll sign Spidey to Zephyr Rovers - he could swing off the Shed 1 roof.

I think there is some sort of random old time quote we can chuck in here such as
*  those in glass houses, or
*  don't count your chickens

Lets not get ahead of ourselves and start hassling Perth; at one stage the greats of Aussie Football, when we, the usual cellar dwellers, piece of sh!t team we always turn out.

Perspective please.

Hey cool. I saw a few good films myself at the club rooms in my time at Christchurch United, at the time I couldn't understand their relevance to football. I think they guy who supplied them is out now.

If the Phoenix fielded a team consisting of blind players with no limbs I still think we could scrape a draw against Perth, so I wouldn't get to over-confident (then again, I think this statement is quite over-confident as well).
