In my opinion, last night's referee was the best we have had all season. Congratulations Simon Przydacz.

I thought he was caught out abit by being to far away from the ball
and looked abit slow around the park (abit like most of our refs),
Mark Shields is the BEST REFEREE in the league by along way. I feel
all the other including Simon, Peter O'leary(NZ),Ben Williams and
the rest of them they are inconsistent.

I have to say a couple of things.
1) I like his style of ref as it seemed to be very 'European',
i.e. he didn't allow much contact between players - which, from my
understanding of football, is not allowed. However, in OZ and
England, there seem to be people who like 'hard-stlyle' defenders
and seem to condone pulling, pushind and late tackling. I on the
other hand don't, and rather enjoy a clean game whereby if I hold
the ball, you cannot disposses me just by pushing me, but you have
to get the ball off my feet.
2) The ref seemed to me a bit 'weak' as far as his calls were
concerned. In more than one occasion he blew his whistle simple
because a player (either one of us or one of them) asked for it.
That I didn't really like - but still, compared to other shocking
refs we've had this season..........
My overall rating is 7/10!

HE WAS CONSISTANT. Something no referee has been so far this
season. Big ups to that.
Lia was VERY lucky for that aweful challange but you have to
take the lucky calls and roll with it. At least we know he
won't be sighted for it as a presedence was set with Griffiths.
Possibly the only good thing to have come from that incident.
Its no longer a problem.

Pryzdacz has been out since round 2 due to injury and this was his
first game back. He was consistent but i get an overall sense that
he was a bit late on the whistle on occasions. Whether this is
rustiness or waiting to see advantage unfold, I don't know. The red
card that wasn't given was his only mistake.
The first year he was referred to as the gumboot man because it looked like he ran with gumboots on. He got a running coach before season 2 and finished up last year as number 3 overtaking Williams.

Did he award us 4 goals after he blew the final whistle?

I thought he blew a lot of 50/50 calls in our favour so 10/10.

I didn't think he did look the most fluid of runners.
He'll probably get marked down for that 50/50 tackle that he et Phoenix play on for aboput 3 passes before calling it back for a AUFC free kick.
For the praise we're giving him - there's probably as many Adelaide fans giving him pelters!.

I thought he was generally OK, but was stunned that he failed to
send Lia off for that awful tackle...I suppose we were due a break
after Williams' woeful performances in our games earlier in the
season.

i think he blew against them alot. quie afew free kicks for us (not
a bad thing) but still valid

I
agree...the ref did well.....thought Lia was lucky to come away
with a yellow & not a red card

When a team loses a game you hope its to a better side and not from
other issues. Last nights referee did a great job and we lost to a
better team on the night. No complaints about that.
Having seen the goals yet again on the news. I feel Paston was
given some rough treatment on here - unfairly. A jammy long range
goal in off the post? a jammy lucky rebound that fell straight at
the players feet. He tried hard for both. The 4th goal was partly
his fault for sure, but where were the defence?
Perhaps now that everyone has cooled their jets, maybe a
rethink is in order?
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!
