sky says 4.00 here

there'd be some f'doff Jets fans if they kick off two hours early just coz someone at sky hasn't learnt to tell the time yet

perhaps someone should ring bollock puncher Joel at 3. am their time and ask him what time he expects to hear the call "seconds away round 1!"

that happens a lot with sky. Not only are they not able to read the time but often they mix-up teams and/or foreign leagues..
I.E. You get up at 3 am to watch the greatest derby in the world, AS ROMA vs Lazio, which was scheduled for that time, and you end up watching some crappy Spanish La Liga sloooow footy..

Sky are famous for stuffing things up. last week they had barcelona playing man u, then stuttgart in the champions league straight after each other. I actually phoned them and they insisted that the Barca -Man u game was correct

Was that the ESPN coverage? Sky have no say or control over that and blindly present what ESPN tell them - but are slow to make corrections that ESPN provide. They had the England-Russia game coverage scheduled for several hours before actual kick-off last month too. I queried and they insisted. I then found the ESPN international TV listings site. For all ESPN relayed coverage, check that site instead of SKY - when ESPN make corrections it takes SKY ages to incorporate them.

The site is
obviously, we get the Pacific Rim coverage. The site takes a while to load, but it's invaluable for finding out whether Sky are showing particular Euro2008 qualifiers as all their coverage comes from ESPN.

I just saw an ad on Sky Sports 1 (was watching sheepdog trials! don't ask!! found it weirdly intriguing!!) and it was a dedicated ad for the Jets v Phoenix game this Sunday, Sky Sport at 4pm!! I don't know what they're playin at!!

They changed it in their programme schedule after an email and a phonecall, but the right hand doesnt always know what the left hand is doing - (that can be fun sometimes but confusing here!!)

apparently joel griffith's brain doesn't know what this hand is doing, either

His line of defense goes something like this...

"I unintentionally hit the linesman in the balls your honor as I was trying to pick my nose"

whats the guts with bringing a minor with me to the lounge.Me daughter is dead keen for roast and fever zone .
She is a dedicated fever girl but not sure if I can take her with me(prob is the mum is out of town for work!!)
She shouts just as good as the rest of you all but I know she may not be appreciated there and I can nver seem to work out pub rules?
Just want your thoughts.Won't be offended as I know some of you hate us lot in the zone at home games with "families!!!!)

if you are the Parent thier is no legal issues with you bringing a minor onto licensed premises, its more of a moral call, and if she is as keen on having a ball at the football as she sounds, i dont think any of the others would mind having a nipper around.

according to sky (and judging by this thread they aren't the most reliable) ESPN are replaying the England vs Estonia match - are the Fever Lounge showing this?

It's on live at 3am, but i need to save my zz's for getting up at 8am to watch the mighty egg-chasers bash some frenchies

I second this suggestion - UK game shown before the Phoenix, then on to the CCM game

Don't let Kiwi Jambo or Ginger Eejit see you use UK as a synonym for England - that is a guaranteed sure fire way of getting on the wrong side from someone from Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. It's a bit like calling a Kiwi an Aussie, but worse.

Did seem a lot quieter than the last few games. It was almost like going to a rugby game. Perhaps the evening games were noisier because we need a few more drinks under our belts -- or perhaps everyone was busy eating roast?

I don't think it is worth worrying about the atmosphere at the lounge, as it has no affect on the players.  If there is some singing, it is a bit of fun, but ultimately it makes no difference.

The noise in the ground is what we need to ensure is top-notch.

True that. But it does add to the fun and it does give us a chance to practice for the games. I'd hate to go hoarse at 80 minutes in the Ring of Fire because my vocal chords aren't up to the punishment! :-)

oh and I quite liked the "Yellow Fever" chant when they showed the asian lineswoman.
Wonder if Griffiths contemplated punching her in the groin
