get a season ticket then, and you can do this

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite

yeah I might have to to secure tickets for 2a1c.......funny tho isnt it that season ticket holders have already paid for the Adelaide match which is part of the double header package price?..is that where the concession comes in?

I think its a good price.  Great idea to have both games in one.  Must be looking at 20K-25K for the Friday night game!

Great selling point for the Phoenix!

I'm not quite clear on how this is going to work.
As a season ticket holder, I can buy eight tickets at $65 each for silver, which will get me and seven friends into both games.
But season ticket holders have already paid for themselves to get into the Adelaide (Friday) game.
Aren't we being asked to pay again?

yeah that was my point above..I think the trade off is in the concession price..about $19 cheaper and the first option...so they took out the already paid Friday game...

Not really, you're getting $15 off the ticket price, you're friends just get lucky getting both games for $65

I suspect any extras you buy will be at the full Silver price Ian.  Just a suspicion.

So please!!, tell me I have this clear Im a gold family season ticket holder + gold concession .Im expected to pay $410 dollars to see the LA Galaxy for one game. WOW, I feel special as a season ticket holder ,Ill be rushing in first to lineup and get season tickets for next year.

Afraid so BB. It is odd that there are no concession prices for Gold. Also, no family ticket pricing.

I'm not too fussed for me personally, as I have only one child to worry about and it's a bit of an oddity that it was cheaper for me to buy a family season ticket and waste a season ticket than it was to buy 2 adults & 1 child.

ba$tards  i bet your right but it doesn't clearly state that in the media release on their website it implies to me that you and your mates pay $65.00

I have to agree.  It took me a couple of reads to even vaguely understand how it worked.

Not the best written release we've seen.

I think that, whilst you can buy 8 tickets per membership, if you can only claim one of those at the membership price and 7 at full price then fair enough.

One discounted ticket per season ticket is fair isn't it?

Hopefully this will be cleared up in the next few days.  I'm not sure Ticketek will be able to handle multiple tickets prices for one purchase! Could cause chaos!

Also, when do the tickets go on sale to members? I read October 8th? But that is general sale isn't it?

The news article said October 1 at 9am

It would be a nice reward for season ticket holders to be able to get 7 mates in for less. (would be popular!) But that interpretation is probably unlikely.

Ok, so as a season ticket holder you can buy 8 tickets. I'm guessing you wont be getting your usual season ticket  seat. How do people feel about this?
Surely if you are bringing mates you will want them with you in aslie 21. There wont be room for them and all the other Yellow Fever season ticket holders so dont delay in buying your tickets.

I would hope we have first refusal on our usual seats.

It would be a disaster for atmosphere if the Fever Zone can't be full of the regulars.

Another hole in that release.

Yeah, when you put it like that, really season ticket holders should only get to buy one ticket per season ticket for a period. Otherwise, the situation that nightz describes is a real possibility.

I can see this ending up in confusion/tears.
Good idea and good prices - but is gonna be a bit of a logistical nightmare with all these permutations. Ticketek - ya havin a laff!

Looks like the concession prices have been specifically worded to exclude tertiary students  Was hoping to take a girl I have my eye on for the best date ever - football, Beckham, and if I stand next to a shirtless Frankie Mac, I'll seem more attractive to her! (Just kidding Frankie! ). Ah well, maybe I'll just make her pay and hopefully be allowed to use my membership discount for both tickets.

Im pretty sure the tickets will go on a 1st come 1st served basis.  If your normal ticket is gone by the time you go to buy it then you will be told, sorry, but too late!

How about trying to get people to buy outside aisle 21 is they are buying for mates that don't normally go to the games?

they seem priced pretty much as expected, as a silver memberi put a stake in the ground at 50 bucks for this "exhibition", plus I can't be ar*ed dealing with another ticketek disaster, my sister will snap up my ticket to watch brand beckham, i'm happy to give it large at the real game on friday and watch the friendly on telly.

It's quite sneaky of ole tickatek saying there giving us a "discount" when really all they've done is removed the price of the adelaide game (which we've already paid for) from the galaxy prices.

Ticketek are not setting the prices or discounts. The Phoenix are - Ticketek just add a service fee, on top of whatever they're told too charge, for customer service.

Essentially, what the Phoenix are doing is giving the Adelaide ticket away free with Galaxy tickets. We get a discount and no free Adelaide ticket (cos we don't need one). I have no problem with this at all. I bought my season ticket to support the Phoenix during the A-League campaign - not because there might be a Galaxy friendly.

well I guessed $60 for a season ticket holder, so $65 plus service fee is about right for me.

Not sure I agree....for non season ticket holders I agree....the Adelaide game is "free"....for season ticket holders they have taken off the price of the Adelaide game as u have already paid for that and they had to take it off ! and all you get is first dibs on a Galaxy ticket.....thats how I interpret it.  Now whether that is enough of a reward I dont know...probably is if u can get 7 mates into silver at a good rate.  Tough on gold holders though.

hey guys is everybody going to get 8 tickets each or can I bribe someone with a few beers down at the BB that weekend in return for a cheaper but gaurenteed ticket in the heart of the YF zone?

does anyone know the details regard whether all the 8 tickets season pass holders can buy are at season pass prices or just the 1 for the pass holder and the other 7 are at normal price?

spoke to Tony P

only members get discount. If you get 1 for yourself and 7 for your cousies from Akld who arent season ticket holder - they will be full price.
If you get tickets on behalf of other members then you will get the discount for them - but for all members discounts you will need to give your/their name and mbrship number (on your pass).

You will not automatically get your season ticket seat - so just ask for it if you want it- then ask for your second choice if its unavailable (ie get in early).

The YF zone will be kept for those that ask for it - not allocated to randoms.

No doubt that if they had released all tickets at once there would have been cries of 'What is the benefit of a season ticket'.

But they have given us priority, and you are not sure if that is enough??

be grateful for the fact that:

a) they haven't made it like an AB's test, and sold two thirds of the tickets to corporates
b) you get to buy 8 tickets before joe public, so you can take family and friends along
c) this IS a bonus, cos when I bought my season ticket, i bought it to see 10 nix games, and maybe if the All whites played I MIGHT get my seat for that game. nothing else.

so season ticket holders get 7 days buying before the "public"? might still have to get it sussed!
