I arrived at the stadium early to pick up my season ticket which I had been told was printed and ready on the phone and i was told they had not printed it!! After paying for it over a month ago now I am really losing my patience!

Unfortunately too many off would believe it! I just wonder what is being done for those who are still waiting for their season tickets and cannot seem to contact any real people(?) to find out about it.

I think there are - I am not sure that I would consider spending close on $1000 for such shocking service again. Surely the club want people to buy season tickets - I think there are people listening to me at work and wondering wether it would be worth the hassle. AND I can't even suggest the best way to buy them as we have had such a poor result!

You're not alone, and you'll be amazed at the list of people still waiting for season tickets to arrive, including the management of a very high profile football club's fan's website...Grrr...

Phoenix boss Tony Pignata has acted swiftly after the ticketing chaos before the club's first A-League match against Melbourne Victory at Westpac Stadium.

Thousands of people were left queuing outside well after kick-off, and hundreds more just went home, after what Pignata has since been told by officials was "one of the biggest walk-up attendances in New Zealand's sporting history".

More than 7000 fans arrived without tickets within 60 minutes of the start of the game. The crowd of 14,421 broke the record for a domestic football match.

Pignata met Ticketek and Westpac Stadium staff yesterday and has guaranteed the public that extra staff would be called in to ensure 50 per cent more booths would be opened for the Phoenix's second home match - against the Newcastle Jets on September 9. This would ensure a smoother transition for those who did not hold season memberships or pre-purchase tickets.

He also said season-pass delays would be rectified before the Newcastle match, with top Ticketek officials having flown out from Australia to fix the problem.

Many season members did not receive their passes before the Melbourne match and were forced to queue outside to get a match-day pass. "Ticketek will be up to date by tomorrow and will issue passes to all those who have not received them yet," Pignata said.

"There was a software problem with the scanners at the stadium on Sunday and that is why the barcodes did not work.

"All season passes bought by 5pm on Friday will be sent to members by the next game. Any bought after that, a paper ticket will be issued with a season pass to follow."

Pignata stressed all parties had taken the issues seriously.

"Once again we apologise, and we hope everyone comes back for the next game, and more, so we can try to break the crowd record again."
