I'm starting to understand how all the out-of-towners feel about not being able to get to matches. (like the ChCh game only more so) Junior822010-03-10 12:31:50

YHA.com.au or jollyswagman.com.au have backpackers around Sydney. YHA have two of them right in central Sydney CBD.

Alternatively, look through wotif.com

As mentioned by some others  www.yha.com.au

Sydney Central YHA and Railway Square YHA are next to Central Station and are the closest to the stadium (about 20 mins walk. More if you stop at pubs along the way )

Only dorm beds left at this stage at these hostels.

Glebel Point YHA has a few private rooms left and is a 15 min bus ride from the city centre

Disclosure: I work for YHA!

I was in ticketek at lunchtime, picked up 70 tickets for a works social club trip to the Oz v Blackcaps ODI at Westpac this weekend, the guy in front of me was buying tickets to the Sydney v Nix game, I had a nosey over his shoulder when the woman was showing him seats available.

It looks like about 60% of aisle 3 (the away bay) has been sold already, I would hazard a guess that might be 400-500 people.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Possibly me at lunchtime & you are right it was about 60-70% full in bay 3. I would estimate 500-600. Still enough of us to make some noise.

So sounds like everyone is heading towards the Fox & Lion before the game.

Count me in for that.
