Ticketing - is it being made easy for people?

Couple of questions about ticketing (as I havent bought one for a home game due to having  a season ticket).

My father went to buy a season ticket from the Nix store on the weekend- was told they only sell game tickets- and to go to Ticketek down the road.  He did that and was told by the geezer (who didnt really have a clue) that the only way to get one was to ring a Ticketek number (which only operated 9-5 weekdays)

Righty ho - back to the Nix store to buy a game ticket for his grandson, and pay a $6 booking fee on a $12 ticket.Hmmm

Given that we are going to get 33,500 wanting to come to our next home game  - are we making this as easy as possible for people - or am I just spinning sht?

ps This is not a Ticketek are crap thread because we have had those already.

I know that the Phoenix store make it hard for you, on match day with lines out the doors only one checkout thingy operating and at 5 mins a pop its a long wait, have found it faster and easier to buy them at the gate...

I've found it faster and easier to buy a season ticket over the internet. Though I understand for out of towners and those who just want to go to see the occasional game. For the occasional rugby match I attend I buy a few days before, its much easier.

If theres a bunch of you going get 1 person to buy the tickets (at 1 time) as you only pay 1 service fee. Same service fee is charged if you're buying 1 or 20 tickets.

Weve found the best place (most helpful) to buy more tickets is the Ticketek agent in Lower Hutt up to Saturday or New World at the station on game day.

A dog with a bone :)

Isn't the booking fee for walk ups at the gate only $2 or $3, much more reasonable if you are only buying 1 $12 ticket.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

My father-in-law had to pay $2 over the $26 advertised price for a processing fee or some crap like that and he walked up. Said some people there didn't had enough and had to go looking for spare change. That seems to imply it's in small print and not obvious from a distance (ie, not until you're talking to the person).

Last year I just brought them over the phone (to Ticketek) and had them emailled to me. $8 for the entire transaction, which isn't that much if it's spread over a bunch of people. Worked fine.
