Radiosport. 7:45-8:00.  How good is he?  He's also "incredulous"...

He's an average footballer that lacks spark, creativity and X-Factor.

Did he sleep with your sister or something Horus ?

Honestly, you ignore facts that prove you are wrong and maintain a single minded vision in insulting him.  Have you thought of seeking help ?

Interesting assessment but I have to disagree, while he's not as flashy as some players out there he is the sort of player that is integral to any good side.

He's a ball winner, has 110 % commitment to every tackle and plays others into space well (a great example was when he won the ball in midfield and played through a superb ball for Daniel to score.....I forget who we were playing but it was away (Melbourne?)

His work rate is incredible and is a proven leader, just look back to the NZ vs Wales game. You know that every time he steps out onto the park he's going to put a consistent performance in.

He's positionally excellent, technically sound and athletically probably one of the best in the squad.

But then what would I know right?

Afterthought: if you mean that he's not a take-players-on/score-a-scorcher type midfield player then I think you're right.  Doesn't mean he's not valuable though.  Does his job, which is more than many of our squad can say (sing: we've got the worst Marquee in the league).

Yeah that's what News says too, but I reckon it's touch and go.

<!-- Start Member Post -->Horus, here's a quote of yours from a previous thread  >>>" Once AGAIN!!! Tim Brown done absolutely nothing, hes not up to it!! notice when he went off things got better, he lacks the X Factor, and hes not creative!!!"

After you'd posted that first one  a number of folks pointed out that that isn't his role.(now we might all be wrong and maybe he is in there as aplaymaker -but somehow i doubt it)

So now you say the same thing and get the same response - I know football is all about opinions, but why recycle the old opinions time and time again?

(maybe, i should just resist the urge to reply - but i do think you do the lad an injustice, not least because his vision and willingness to play the simple ball -early)

At least they've both played.  Stan Lazaridis has to be the worst marquee player in the league.

Really do wonder about some of you sometimes, its okay to have opinions but i dont go with the constant sl*gging by some people of certain players.Guess my idea of  a fan differs from others.I reckon some of you will still be complaining next year when the lads really start to show us what they can do.Yes im not happy that we have gifted points to the opposition in the last 3 matches,i will be one of the first bitching if they are still doing the same next season.

Given where we have come from in a very short time although im not totally happy with certain aspects of our game I just dont see the need for the constant bagging of some of the players.

well friday night they were on form and behaved and didnt hear a negative thing out of their mouths

and as i said to my boys you have to remember this is the Phoenix's 1st year so give them a chance

so im with you ballane

'Pies' Jardel.....that's a very cool name. Maybe he might want to change it to 'Big Ben.'

Football supporters have a very black and white view of the world, listen to any BBC Radio 5 live phone in (Saturday, after sports report) if you are ever in the UK.  Every supporter has an individual opinion on their team, manager and individual players, I've said it before, it's what makes football well, erm, football !!

Win three nil and you're the best team in the league and promotion/title/cup is going to happen, the following week you go down 1 nil to bottom of the league and the end of the world is nigh, your centre forward couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo and your keeper's got tits for hands.

I find it interesting reading other peoples views regardless, if I don't feel the view deserves further thought I'll just move on.

We don't have a go at people who continually say how fantastic players are, so acceptance of those who do the opposite is surely right.

By the way, I think Tim Brown is doing very well in that Keen/Viera role (only comparing roles not players!)
