On the crowd thing.

I had a look on the ROF site and, according to that, we had crowds of less than 10K at 5 out of our last 7 league games last season. Only two which were over the 10K mark were the 18299 against Adelaide and 13065 in the last game of the season against Sydney.

So you could almost argue that our crowds have generally been on the slide since the 4th game of last season.

Sorry. Just found it slightly interesting

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

We knew last year that we needed to average around 10k per game as well.  People don't normally purchase sports teams to make money, and Terry will know that like most businesses you can't expect to make profits in the first couple of years.

With some solid signings and potentially a place in the playoffs crowds next year should pick up.

I would imagine Terry is taking a bit hit in his other businesses as well.

Property & commercial property rents and sales slumping
No credit/loans available from the banks to initiate new property development.

My understanding that most of Terry's wealth is leveraged in the property he owns/is developing rather than being fluid cash.

I would imagine the funds released to buy & run the Phoenix are guaranteed against the assets of Century City Developments  - banks might become a hell of a lot more cautious about lending against a depreciating asset.

RS Interview with Tony P

The numpty who is interviewing knows next to nothing about the Nix...

"You mentioned Porter? Is he on your radar for potential signings?" Tony-" Ah, Porter signed for Gold Coast a while ago."

Seems Fred might be available after October and he is definitely within the salary cap for us.

Its a good listen even if you are just listening to the guy who knows nothing.....

I think we need to sign more than just two strikers and an attacking midfielder that Tony P mentioned, i.e., we need more than just three principal additions. In my opinion, we need at least 4 or 5 quality players to boost the current squad, including possibly a marquee signing. And, of course, we need a keeper to replace Moss.
ive got a feeling spoonley will be back.Terry is a smart business man and will know that the majority of businesses dont make a profit in the first 5 years.

Not a great fan of Spoonley and do not think he up to a-league standard, think we need a better quality option.
