Aerolineas is the worst airline in the world. Fact.

Wouldn't fly anywhere with them again even if they paid me.

LAN is good though.

Latest lads:

Qantas trying to do something but have to change staff and crew so can't be done in five minutes.  May have something tomorrow, may not.  Tony P reckons if you see something grab it rather than relying on this coming off.

We've got a booking at a YHA in Sydney. www.yha.com.au

There are plenty of rooms available if you're keen on sharing room to get cheap beds.
Or you could book a group of 6/8 and take up a room with the group.

We're not in the central city, but rooms there not too expensive. Alternatively there is some cheaper accommodation out Bondi way, and Kings Cross (if you're brave).

We mixed airlines with our flights, going over on Air NZ, back on Pacific Blue. But we're taking Friday & Monday off work to make a weekend of it.

Great to have a boss that was at the game yesterday ;)Ard Righ2010-03-08 18:13:50

I was going to give some similar hearsay feedback but decided cost might overcome service.....

On the plus side if you book with aerolineas there's a good  chance you'll end up in Melbourne, probably in time for the Grand Final.  The bad news is you'll miss the start of the following season waiting or your return flght.

These guys have 737s and A320 for charter and have done trans tasman.. could be worth an enquiry  if not for this game but for the next?
Already tried that, they dont have anything bigger than a Whisper Jet (84 seats) & that is in Aussie this friday/sat. They can do the trip back though.

If a group of you got organised and booked a place to stay together you'd get a discount right?

Even if it means hard barginning it could be well worth the hassle.

Is this the best place to look in case Qantas/FFA/WPFC offer a flight, ticket deal for the weekend?

Be nice if the FFA used some of the estimated $1.6million generated from our two home games to help out.

If A deal comes off, hopefully the fans who have booked on std Qantas fares of up to $2k, will be able to get a refund!

Never gonna happen. Like the 'nix refunding people who buy kids tickets before the 'nix announce free kids to a game.

Qantas have put a larger plane on some flights so there are now some 'cheaper' flightsand more seats Friday AM.

Getting back Sunday is a a bitch though.

You can do Friday AM, Monday PM for $692.

As mentioned by some others  www.yha.com.au

Sydney Central YHA and Railway Square YHA are next to Central Station and are the closest to the stadium (about 20 mins walk. More if you stop at pubs along the way )

Only dorm beds left at this stage at these hostels.

Glebel Point YHA has a few private rooms left and is a 15 min bus ride from the city centre

Disclosure: I work for YHA!
