Or you could go to the pool and lurk around the changing rooms (ask TVNZ for tips on this).

I saw somewhere the Nix players are making an appearance at 2-00 in Dunedin on Friday. I would guess if they train on Friday in Wellington will be an early  start. More likely to train in Dunedin late afternoon would be my guess. Ahmad may know?

I was up at Newtown a couple of weeks ago and he was there then. I did not see Downey there though.

It's anyone's guess whether the team will turn up to Forsyth Barr Stadium.

I always wondered why the club did not post training times etc up on their website. Often I get visitors in town and there always seems to be some interest in watching the team train...especially from the kids. On the same topic why is it that we always have to rely on gossip etc to try and work out who is trialing with the squad?  Why is it a secret?  You would have thought that they would be trying to keep interest up in whats happening at the club...especially seeing they are in the middle of trying to sell season passes.

Every couple of days I check out the websites of six or seven clubs that I am interested in. They all do a much much better job of keeping the fans in the loop with whats going on. How much effort is it to put stuff up on the website? FFS!!!! end of rant!

Yeah i agree, another thing is those pre season games they play at Porirua park or wherever else. Not hard to send out something on Facebook or Twitter

could even generate a little bit of cash flow for the local clubs

^ from memory it's something to do with friendlies being 'official' or not i.e. the ones we play at local clubs are technically training runs or something and can't be advertised as friendlies.

Or something like that - someone explained it last year.

Smart people, spew forth info, please

"Olympic will be joining the Phoenix for a 90 minute training run at porirua park tomorrow. It will consist of a 45 minute 11 v 11 full pitch training run, followed by a break, then another 45 minute 11 v 11 full pitch training run"

Is it something to do with insurance?

I know they couldn't play futsal in an organised event vs the futsal whites and local clubs but nothing would stop them from having a 'kick around'.

Fuck this stupid game
