I get the feeling that Jai Ingham will be let go by the Victory this off season. Since it sounds like we are going Kiwi, I wonder if his name will be thrown around?

Never really been impressed with him, tbh I only think he got the AWs cap because we wanted his brother.

I'd definitely take Ingham if he was happy to be a squaddie. Not a starter though.

Rather not we have Rogerson on the bench who look decent when played especially that Brisbane game.

Ingham would be a definite upgrade on Rogerson.

If the Kiwis first policy is being pursued Stuart Holtusen would be worth a trial.

Good enough to be MLS drafted, but no final contract it seems. Age 22.

A Scandy lower division/Handy Prem deal probably awaits. But worth Nix at least having a look.

He's back playing Central league currently - I suspect he can't move (or at least play) until he's 18 - like Calvin Harris.

Also suspect other influences may limit his chances of being an option for the Phoenix.

The DE factor?

the 18 bit is correct

the other factors include that he's good enough to play in a higher quality league than the A-League so will probably end up in Europe

Will make it harder for him to make it to Europe without one, Thomas has an english one which really helped him. Pec Zwolle thought Elijah has great talent and stood out against the other dutch youth players, but if they wanted to sign Elijah they would have to pay a higher wage which would teams of form getting him.

Out of these I think we should target Franjic and Hingert. Both would be great signings, and we need better fullbacks. Shane Lowry would also be a good addition but is less likely. I also quite like the look of Pierce Waring as an option off the bench, think his technical ability is underrated at the Victory and could develope into a good striker. I would also say Buijs, Garuccio, Elsey, Taggart and Absalonsen but I just can't see us spending the dosh to get those guys in. Not sure how I feel about Carl Valeri yet either

Personally, I've not been impressed with either this season and I suspect they are both well beyond their best years. But, the big asterix here i that they both players who are being asked to provide 'legs' in an aged and relatively legless team

I didn't realise Flappy was out of contract - thought he had another year for some reason. I guess we're going to need a keeper as well as Sail's a backup at best, Keegan's not ready and Lewis is well, shark.

Nobody has really staked their claim to start ever since Mossy left. Feel like that should be a key priority. Personally I feel that Velaphi and Italiano are liabilities and that Keegan should be first choice for the reserves next season and Sail deserves 2nd choice but to who is the question as chances are not a penny will be spent on a keeper.

From what we saw this season, Velaphi was clearly the most solid option in my opinion. I hope we are offering him an extension.

Is this a low point in NZ and Aussie 'keeper stock?

Plus he's already stated that he will stay in Wellington for his injury rehab and pre-season, which is a pretty big indication that he think he's staying.

At A-League level, yes, but the All Whites and Socceroos have a pretty good selection in Ryan, Jones, Vukovic, Federici, Marinovic and Gleason, plus the promising crop coming through like Crocombe, Would and Tzanev.
