I think we have a pretty good squad but we could make it better with some fresh players to pump up the competition for positions next season.

Maybe you agree with some of the following (or none! lol )

 Steven Old ----------> Angelo Costanzo
 Ross Aloisi  -----------> Che Bunce
 Cleberson  --------------> Danny Hay
 Michael Ferrante ------> Adam Kwasnik
 Mark Paston ---------------> Danny Vukovic

Steven just doesnt quite do it for me, Dodd and O'Dor look very good, great communication and chemistry, and Costanzo is like a friggin rock in the defence, apart from Dodd he his the pick of the a-league defenders IMO.

Ross, well, he really doesnt seem to do much out there, i mean you can forget hes even playing occasionally and Che Bunce has very solid skills and has the experience to boot to spark up the boys when the going gets tough to get in there and NEVER give up, Ross gives the impression to me like he says "Never mind boys, next time", when there 2 down, just an impression i got from his style of play after we concede, could be wrong.

Clebo hasnt really challenged for his spot (whether he gets the chance is debatable i.e. reserves games) and Danny Hay, same as Bunce great skills, excellent communication and is also brilliant technically.

Michael is one of those players in my opinion who either plays the best or the worst, and does blow a few major chances (also creates them but majority blows them), and Adam Kwasnik looks like a right little up-and-comer that would really help push our guys up and keep on the attack, just as Felipe and Daniel do. Imagine that Che and Danny and Daniel  in mid, Dodd, O'Dor and Costanzo in def and Coveny, Smeltz and Kwasnik and  Felipe in attack, that would surely rival even the very best of the 'Old boys' like Juninho and the other veterans.

Mark Paston im sure is a great keeper but as he hasn't got a game, im guessing he just isnt good enough to compete with Glen, so snapping up Vukovic would get some good healthy competition going and as all you soccer players out their know, competition is the best way to improve, just look at the Aussie Cricket team for example.

Any way just my thoughts, im sure a few of these guys are probably bound by contract for a year or two but when their available (if better guys haven't come around) Wellington Phoenix would be UNSTOPPABLE!

is Constanzo that dude from Adelaide with the long hair? if so then i would say no, we ran rings around him when they played us and he looked there weak link at the back.

i'd say a no to Aloisi, His job is not a noticeable one, and seeing people say he does nothing is annoying, he is a ball winner, holding Midfield, i.e. he doesnt do much in the way of showy passes or anything, he gets the ball, completes the short passes, gets through his work, and does a good days work by the end.

No to  losing Paston. he was no.1 at the knights for quiote a while and was one of the good things to come from the knights, granted he got a lot of action. He is a great keeper and probably would have been no.1 if not for his injury. The competition is good already. don't change it for an australian.

Kwasnic is probably the only one i would say would be great to have, he is a good player.
