I can't afford sky so am doomed to gritting my teeth and listening to Phoenix away games. I try to watch the tv news to catch the goals but even they rarely show Phoenix games. is it because auckland tv companies are snubbing the Phoenix in jealously of our roaring success. Sky should at least show one or two games on prime tv so that the less so lucky people like me can catch a glimpse of the great team

You do get a glimpse, you go to all home games don't you?

Three for me, and two for them.

Maybe its something to do with getting the coverage from Foxsports, as I know thats the reason its not on FTA in Australia (nor are Socceroos games).

I doubt its any sort of conspiracy, I mean TVNZ showed the Beckham game along with streaming the All Whites games on the web, showing live on freeview and delayed on TV1 - a pretty decent effort.

Mate, its the offseason. New season starts August with preseason before then.

In the mean time I suggest you support Manchester United as they claim an astonishing 2nd treble in one decade. Mark my words, its gonna happen.
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

Theres more chance of Ahmad Elrich crossing a ball correctly then that happening....
but to tv coverage as this is phoenix dicussion. I think its pretty standard for professional sport to be on paytv and i can't see it changing anytime soon

Hell, thatt couldn't evevn put food on the table for HALF a starving little african kid. DO IT. nothing like live football . Champions league next week too.

I've just read all the posts on this thread and realised it's a whole lot of talk about nothing actually. I just thought I'd get my two cents in before I move to another topic!

Have to agree about the 'wider doorways' quote though. Brilliant in its simplicity!!

Someone needs to do some research:

Is it more economical to ...

A - Pay for Sky TV and get your beer from the bottle shop, or
B - Go to the pub, watch the game for free, but pay sh!tloads more for beer?

Any volunteers?
