Durante says it like similar to juror.  I've called him Durrah and he has responded.  Don't think it matters

would you rather we not score from 100 corners but convert a penalty, or miss 100 penalties but score from a corner?

Can you give us an overview of the pre-match, half-time and full time team talks from the Jets game?

Would be interesting how the approach changed during this game and the reaction after such a result.

Do you practice penalties at training and if so, do the guys take it seriously.

I can answer this one. Yes, they do. And yes, they do.

I've seen them take a whole lot of absolute stunning penalties. Ones that almost break the top corner of the net.

So they assumed that the Jets would have had spies at those practices, and went for the bottom corner instead..

Yeah, taking penalties at training is a whole lot different to taking them in a real game. Everyone on the team should be able to slot them; but it's a mental issue, exacerbated by the fact that everyone in the team *knows* it's an issue now. I would get the Jeff to take it because he doesn't have that baggage.

The latest episode of #PhoenixCity is out now at http://yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts!

Phoenix assistant coach Chris Greenacre joins the pod to talk about the disappointing result against Newcastle, and look forward to the long journey to Perth. There were mixed results in the A-League predictions from last week (although Patrick is quite smug about one of his), and we ask Greenie some of the questions that were sent in by our listeners.

What's interesting is that Greenacre Patrick mentioned that De Bohun said it was NZF's lack of involvement in the Phoenix that was threatening the extension - it was assumed that this was financial, but then why not bring up Sky TV? It also explains why recently there has been a flurry of articles about how NZF is not giving the Phoenix what they deserve for their contributions to NZ Football.

Is it entirely financial or are there other things that the FFA do for the teams? I know that they provide incentives to bring Australian Marquees home, but then that is also financial.

I read on another forum that Sky TV is not budging on price and that the Phoenix / FFA are looking for other options, of course this is most likely bullshark.

That was me who said it, not Greenacre. It's what Damien De Bohun said to me after the match on Sunday when I asked him about the extension.

I stand corrected. Was listening to it at work and with only half a mind on each task.

Was your impression that it was just financial, i.e. that the FFA want NZF to pick up some of the Phoenix's cap?

Yes that was exactly my impression. de Bohun feels that there's a view among Australians that the FFA is financially propping up New Zealand Football to the tune of AUD$3m a year.

what a load of sharke that is.

It benefits NZF to have a team in the A league, sure. So they could try to leverage that and try to squeeze a little money out of NZF to an extent.  But in no way are FFA propping up the game here - it's a mutually beneficial relationship from which they gain from it as well.

Plus its not money from the FFA its money that fox is paying for a ten team a-league competition. There are half a million or so New Zealanders living in Australia, more than in Wellington, so there is a domestic audience for the Phoenix.

You've got the figures in the wrong columns (or headers on the wrong columns) and Pat should be on 4 points. Or are you being charitable and giving him a head start?

Are you sure?

The results column is where you get the right result but not the exact score e.g. you picked CCm to win 1 - 0 over Perth but they actually won 3 - 2. You get 1 point for getting the result right.

The score column is where you get the result right AND you get the score exactly right. Like when Pat got the MVC v ADL 0 - 0 draw 100% right. You get 3 points for that.

The table says Pat got 3 correct results, for 3 points, and 1 exact score, for 3 points, for a total of 6 points.

Note: You don;t get 3 points for the score AND 1 point for the result for a total of 4 points when you get one right. You only get the 1 point for the result if you don't get the score exactly right. i.e. when you get the score exactly right you only get 3 points.
