people sitting down not making any noise in the fever
zone??!?!?!??? how annoying!!!!!!
What can be done to eradicate these pests?

Someone get down the front with a megaphone and yell for a
minute or two at the whole Aisle and encourage participation with a
few choice cuts of language thrown in for good measure. Not for too
long though, just minute or so.
That might help a little bit. I might suggest more drastic
measures but they would probably get me a file with the fuzz.

not as bad as it has been to be honest. I only saw a couple of kids
infront of me sitting. and they were still chanting. I was just
glad to see it didn't go silent after the perth goal!

we had people sitting in our seats when we arrived, kindly asked
them to move and they said well someones sitting in our seats
(across in aisle 23) I said well you will have to ask them to
move...later in the game I looked over they were all sitting and
the people in front of them standing so I have no idea how they saw
anything!
the standing and chanting is so addictive!!! how can
anyone sit!!

You sounded great on the box as it was. Surely if you start
screaming at folks with a bull horn to participate in every single
chant you're going to piss people off & lose your
spontaneity?
You sounded great & for 10 000 people & tore strips off the 60 000/70 000 GF NRL crowd on Sunday.

Hey, it's peoples prerogative to sit down if they want to, even if
it is in the FZ. I'm sure though that they will quickly realise
what we are about and either catch the fever and stand up or move
cos they can't see anything.
There was a couple in front of me (in the FZ) that were sitting down, I just about ended up on top of them when we scored our 2nd. But by the end they were on their feet like the rest.
Let's not do anything to alienate anyone who has come to support the Nix, everyone is entitled to show their support in their own way.
Having said that I thought it was brilliant when the whole crowd stood up when we chanted "stand up for the Phoenix".

If you want to be a sit-down-theatre-goer, why do it in the Fever
Zone?

True but a lot of casual fans don't know what there getting into
when the go into the zone.

Malky, I think it is fair enough to expect people who are in
the Fever Zone to stand up and chant. There are loads of
seats in the stadium but the FZ is supposed to be about that
stuff. I only say that because plenty of people I know
haven't been able to get into the FZ, have had to sit in another
aisle and not been able to stand up having been asked to sit down
by security. Not trying to alienate any fans at all, but they
can still experience the atmosphere caif people want to sit in
aisles 23...

Are ticketec selling tickets in the YF zone to people even if they
dont ask to be seated there.I would have thought word was well and
truely out there about what to expect if you are in the zone.Maybe
ticketec need to be reminded what the zone is about and they
shouldnt be selling casuals tickets there unless they ask for
them.Just dont like the idea of people new to a Phoenix game being
sold seats in the zone and them not enjoying the experience as much
as if they had been seated elsewhere.

Rather than Ticketek only offering the zone if requested, they
should just ask do you want to stand or sit and
assign the tickets accordingly.

thats a good thought, dunno y they would give out precious YF
tickets to all members of the public.... Im sure the general public
would have seen the pics in the paper and saw us on TV enough to
know what they are getting into if they sign up for the fever zone,
i dont see any reason why people in the do not chant or stand up.
I wana see half the crowd shirtless!! how is that goina happen
when people arnt even standing up sometimes!!
Thats the only negative i have of that game though, bloody
awesome effort i felt, i know that where i was standing we all had
shirts off and were singing our hearts out

I agree if people choose to sit in the Fever Zone and not see
anything, that's their choice, they're mental but it's their
choice.
A pile of my workmates got tickets to the Newcastle match for the Fever Zone, one of them had to re-locate though as the mad fever fans terrified his young lad!

Urgh, it really irks me to see people sitting in the FZ. They're
taking seats away from people who want to be there and stand, and
with the limited space it seems really selfish to me. I'm all for
more people joining in the Fever Zone and I'd love to see the zone
extend to enguf the entire curva sud someday soon, but I
want the entire zone standing up screaming their lungs out.
Hopefully those who insist on sitting in the FZ either sit
somewhere else and eat prawn sandwiches, or even better (by a
country mile), stand up and join in!

On Sunday, there were a couple in the FZ still sat down in front of
us (me, wife, daughter) when the teams were out. We don't want
people immediately in front of us sitting down. I lent forward and
softly sang to them, "stand up for the Phoenix" - and they did for
the entire game

easy enough: "for the phoeniiix stand up!"
if we keep doing it and we aim at them, you'll see how the
buggers will stand up and sing.

i made a point under "were here to watch the football" loads of
people want to be part of teh fever but dont know what its about
and end up complaining about the YF. if you want to be close to the
action but arent willing to stand up and chant then i sugest astile
23. astile 23 still chant and stand up now and then its like a mini
yf zone for people who dont like beer throwing and stuff. at the
extreme end you could make yf on to people who have retro rickys
and know the chants ect. i dont have a retro ricky sadly enough but
i still chant and feel part of the fever every game, to be honest
the fever is the reason why i go to all the games and got a season
pass i love it, i cant imagine sitting down and not chanting after
seeing the fever pre-season. i dont mind seeing new faces in the
fever but you should realy know the chants or be willing to learn.
