I say close to... because, of course Joel Griffith's is still out there (and I'd add Tiatto, McKay and Moore from the objectionable ranks).

A few I'd skip for being donkeys but we'll leave that for another day.

You forgot to add Kevin Muscat to the School of Thugs. As bent as the Soviet's sickle, and as hard as the hammer that crosses it

See, I used to hate Muscat, and yes he is a thug, but he's a fan of the Fever and last year really was the best player in the A-League so he earnt a little respect back.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like him, but I can't say I hate him anymore.

He's quietened down these days - has his own newspaper column, etc. Still, I will never forget him taking that Frenchman roughly from behind in an international 'friendly' a few years back and breaking the poor bugger's leg so badly that he didn't play again for nearly a year. Stomach churning. Gets respect but no love from me (yeah, like he's really going to lose sleep over that!).

  BRING BACK BUCK

seriously though i doubt that the nix will make any transfers, they are a new team and it would seem natural to try and build a rhythm and make a solid start with the present team

ben sigmund is a must because he would start aswell and having either old or odor coming off the bench, they r both young players aswell so maybe no room 4 cleberson?
. maybe get rid of a midfeilder i dont c ferrante getting too much game time becuase lia looks the goods.
we got lots of strikers we dont need another 1. felipe daniel goerge and elrich can play upfront plus we have smeltz coveny draper and barbarosues.

Who says Felipe, Daniel, George and Ulrich can play up front?  One of the biggest problems we've got is having to play players out of position.  I  may be wrong but didn't Filipe start in midfield for us, and isn't that where he was most effective?  If so why were we playing him up front when we have Brownlie on the bench who has English football league experience as a striker?

Let's stop playing people out of position because when we do and they play badly we get on their backs (Cleb at right back, what a joke).

agreed but wen plodder gets beaten by half a step its over as hes not athleticaly up to it. haha man im negative !! haha vince is a better fotballer thats all.

a mate said, think plodder gets picked as hes the real tryer in the team its hard not to play him as at training hes the guy that give 150% in everything and makes ricky pick him with effort.
not a bad observation

That is totally plodder, one of those players that trains hard and looks good in training but when it come to the crunch... well enough said.

Here's another thought, we all know why hes called plodder, what will he be like when his legs/pace eventually go?

I really envy you guys who get to see the Phoenix training everyday.

I've hated that b*****d ever since he got one of our players sent off when he was playing for R*****s against Thistle. Went down like a sack of spuds, rolled around like somebody had shot him then, after the red card had been flashed, hopped up as if nothing had happened. Twat.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Perth wont let go off bertos. We dont need a LM, or a RM for that matter. THe problem is in defence.

If we are going to be active we need to be sensible

If we can afford to get rid of players and pay them out of their contract, then fine.

As long as you replace them with somebody who is going to help strengthen the squad its all good.

I dont tihink we can afford to get rid of any of our defenders. We will still need some sort of cover for injuries and suspensions etc. What if we transfer in a defender and he gets injured. We will be in a worst position and have to put smeltz at centre back

We can afford to lose some attacking midfielders or strikers and bring in a defender.

For me it would be.

Out:Brownlie(hardly been required)

In: Sigmund or Muliigan  - if they were an option

Or maybe drop a Draper or Costa for an U20 defender like Boxall or Phil EDGINTON.

If we build it, they will come...

I'm struggling a little with the getting rid of Brownlie bit, I'm aware that he hasn't been used but does this mean we should ditch him.  I'd prefer to give him his chance, I've thought he's looked quite dangerous in the 46 minutes that we've seen him this year.  Covney on the other hand...........

I'd like to seem Rikki transfer in some defenders capable of defending.

Milisevic a 'touch' on the difficult side.  Add the uncontrollable mouth, and average skill, to his Lochhead = Blockhead comments and he's close to the last player in the league we'd want.

Bazeley is all signed at Waitakere in the NZFC.  Playing Team Welly this week, and OCL tomorrow night.  Hope he does well (apart from against Team Welly).

maybe we could get him on loan as cover

The nix have yet to finish a season with this squad and people are thinking about rocking the boat more with bringing in new players to a brand new club. I would work with what we got and look to finish this season well before shuffling the players deck again.

Shuffling? Getting rid of 1 and bringing in 1 is hardly a makeover.

Just posted on another topic about Ben Sigmund, then saw some comments on here about him.

He is the natural choice to sure up a dodgy defence.
Barring some All White and injury stints, he had an incredible season at Fawkner (Vic Premier League).

Che Bunce? Get a grip. He doesnt even have the drive to play for Waikato - why would we want him playing for the Nix?

OK, just read some posts on other topics about Sigmund. We cant sign him...bugger.

We can sign him, just not this season. When does he become eligible to sign for another club? Because it seems he'd be a good fit. An older, experienced back for the young guys to play alongside and learn from them while they develop, works for me

plus he's only actually 26 I think. But been around for a while.
Somebody else might be able to confirm.
