Thought this was a great picture of the boys,

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

To be honest Ward looked comfortable and interested in playing when he came on...

(Cue banstick from Hard News!)

Speaking of the banstick... do NOT repeat NOT annoy Tony P, even from across the Tasman.

Yeah I was thinking that too. A few weird calls, but I'd be more than happy to have that level every week. Adelaide seemingly drew the short straw this week.

IMO

Over half of the bad decisions made by the Ref`s are due to the incompetent Lino`s on display each week
Improve the Lino`s and the Refs will look a hell of a lot better.

agreed...does seem odd when the linesman is onlt a few feet away looks to the ref for a deision in an area which very clearly he should call

There is a very good reason the assistant looks to the referee. It is so that they both give the same decision and don't end up pointing opposite ways. He is not looking for a decision; he is looking for agreement. They are a team.
I think the assistants get more offside decisions correct than Tim Brown does!
I doubt any critics on this site have any idea whatsoever of what is involved in running a line so have no qualification on which to make any criticism.
Not that ignorance will stop them............

I just noticed, why did Gold Coast not have anyone on the back post when Durante scored?

Because it was a free kick, not a corner. Remember the brief debate on this issue in these very pages when we conceded that last minute goal to Perth in similar circumstances?
