Good job by the Roar, Melbourne with 3 red cards in consecutive games didn't deserve to keep their unbeaten record.  Also it condenses the league table which will make things interesting in coming weeks.

If one was at work and had ran out of things to do other than wait for the phone to ring and receive answers to their proposals so they could action them...

...one might suggest that it would be better for the leader to be closer, than swapping 7th for 6th with the bulk of the season remaining?

That's a good point, but I think it'd be easier for us if the like of Melbs and Sydney kept everyone down near us, letting us cruise into third/fourth spot come January.

Cheers Masty, I'm on my side too......I'd much rather a congested table thats tight on points for us to easily advance up.  And so our poor start doesn't cause us problems later in the season when the top four could potentially be unreachable......no point being in 5th or 6th then.....

Also need to keep those teams real with the likes of us and Roar beating the previously unbeaten top two teams.....its a good even league where any team can beat any other on the day and I like that......especially when we finally start to show a glimpse of our potential.....

Think long term, not short term.

We will leap frog Qld and then top Mel later on.

We are aiming to win this sucker. Best not to have a team running away at the top of the table. I like them to be in closer firing range.

I say that is a great round result for us.
