I attended the training on Thursday, the lads looked sharp and up for it. Ricki gave them a good work out.

But on the side line I chatted with Vince Lia for a few minutes (Poor him). He's looking fit and the leg has healed up well. I gather he's doing some strength exercising or something along those lines. Bloody nice guy to chat to.

You're definately not forgotten Vince and I hope you are fit and ready and successful next season.

I don't know if it is the club policy, the fans or the players but talk about very approachable and polite. Us fans have been very lucky in this respect. The players have no egos towards the fans. They've been very friendly and patient and talkative in the two sessions I have been up at newtown number 2.

Next season if the weather is as good as it was on Thursday, I am going to make the most of my shift work and attend the sessions regularly. You can pick up some good training tips to pass on to others who play or coach.

I noticed they did a version "Round the pole",  an excercise I once proposed for the half time entertainment at the ROF.

Probably -5, where would you play him? Maybe he could take Brownys spot but I do doubt it.
Was pleasantly surprised as to how freely he was moving when I saw him at the Kings last night

I guess next season Vince will be fighting for a spot in the midfield. I think Manny has nailed the RB spot.

We need a leftback urgently.

Whats this left back rubbish. We have a left back, just one that is not in form.....

We need a 2nd keeper (or a 1st if you like) an attacking midfielder and 2 strikers.

And hasn't been in form for 75% of the season!

There are a lot of positions we need to fill and competition at left back is just another of many, is it the most urgent? maybe not but should still be on the shopping list.

Agree on Lochhead - he has been poor most of the season, his delivery yesterday was absolutely shocking. I have no idea how he got a trial in the Premiership to be honest.

Ricki and Gareth Southgate were on the same Coaching Course over the off season!

Vince Lia cleared for a full return to playing on the 2th of January. So if we make the finals he will be in!

Today I have read a lot of criticism about both Lochy and Mulligan.  I think both player are better then some of the boys who are starting but without the chance of any sort of meaningful footie (read reserves; and or youth team) they have both definately lost their edge.

Its a pity that these sorts of players can't be short term loaned out to other aussie kiwi clubs to regain match fitness/sharpness.

I think you'll find Lochy is starting!!! Not much point in loaning him out to get game time then.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet
