Hello all,

Hope I’m ok posting this & this is a reasonable place for it to be - wasn’t entirely sure were it would fit best.

I’m over in NZ from the UK and I would love to get to at least one game in the time I’m here. Not sure I can go that long during football season without going to a match.I know that ‘where is the best place to sit’ can be a tricky question to answer but, where would the best place to buy a ticket be? Otherwise, just general what can I expect, anything that would be good to know?

Hey mate.

Most of this stands: https://www.yellowfever.co.nz/about

If you fancy standing, drinking and leering it up join us in the Fever Zone.  Sidelines if you fancy a seat. The thing to remember is that Westpac is an oval so no where is really close enough to the pitch.

If you can't wait until late November when we're next home though Team Wellington open in the New Zealand National league on Sunday (think Conference sort of level football) at David Farrington Park in Miramar. Probably 300 people around a small local ground.  Weather is meant to be a belter.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Buy a Silver ticket and you can pretty much sit/stand where you like. It's the cheapest ticket.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

No offence, but that misuse of quotation marks (indicating "so-called" or "doubtful" status) is hurting my eyes

Thanks, I'll definitely try and get along to watch Team Wellington as well if I can. I pinch myself everytime I see our big posh (by our standards) stadium but sometimes you can't beat a proper conference style game.

Apologies, I used them in a sense that I'm a football fan but can't exactly say I'm a Phoenix fan. Although... How do you know I don't secretly loathe football.

Ignore it mate, it was such an irrelevant point to be made in this thread.

We're glad you're willing to watch a footy match down in Wellington! Hopefully we'll be able to convert you into a proper fan who gets up at 6am every weekend to watch us live! ?
