When was the last time Adelaide played in Wellington?

haven't played in wellington for the last 2 seasons. Last year the game was supposed to be here, but to quote Junior82, bon flippin jovi decided to do a gig in Wellington the night before so the game had to be moved to Christchurch. The Newcastle jets were to play in chch, but the game came back to wellington.

TBH I'm a bit miffed. However in the scheme of things, probably not the worst thing to happen.

I don't recall many happy memories watching Adelaide at the ROF, I recall a draw though...but that may have been another one of my dreams. If we keep beating them away from Wellywood ( ) then lets bank those 3 points I say! Keep them away from Thorndon.

Still early days but would be good to get this confirmed (pending any tw@tting geriatric rockers changing things) so that travel plans can be made.

My travels across Antipodes may lead me to attend said game. I stay polite, work my hardest and attempt to obtain visit to this game.

Good on you fes. Hope to see you there - I've heard that getting across town can be quite hard.

(BTW Auckland isn't actually called the Antipodes, it's more commonly called Pajero Ciudad)

yea goodness me, they were saying when the draw came out that they hope to have the venue confirmed by a couple of weeks. Been more than a couple of months now and no sign of confirmation anywhere. I was thinking that they may just put it at Westpac because of no comfirmation, but people say that it has to go somewhere else, who knows?

Can get there on Friday night, but no flights out for days.

Has Waikenae got a Smiggle shop?

Nearest Smiggle is in Porirua.

If the match was to be played in Napier though...

Then we could drive there no probs. Stay at Hastings, go to Splash Planet on the Sunday after the match, National Aquarium the morning of the match, also Possum World.

Smiggle wouldn't even get a look in.

Nathan - can you make this happen please? Or do I have to take this up with Rob & Gareth?

And I could get extremely drunk for 2 days safe in the knowledge that I wouldn't have far to go home!!!

YAYS!

it would be ludicrous if the game went to dunedin when its during university holidays. the stadium in situated smack bam in the middle of all the student flats/accomodation which is a huge advantage to get the 'casual' fans to matches.
it would not surprise me if attendance's were lower than what it was for the pre season.

Maybe New Plymouth, end of a dance festival and a russian ballet that night so no event conflict.

yea, with Cairns I think it was, probably not going to win on that for Brisbane. So if it was Wellington, they would have to re-schedule the date which is probably impossible! So out in the region, like New Plymouth, suppose Palmeston North and Napier would be considered.
