They still deserve all the support we can give them, obviously we are short of some quality players due to off field distractions before the season started, and are in a position where it isn't going to change until a transfer window opens. We have the nucleus of a good team, just lacking in some keys areas, go the NIX.

I think the main issue with Alex Smith is we're playing him too deep. He made his name scoring goals in Sydney, we're essentially playing him as DM at the moment.

See the problem with that...

Am I the only one who thinks we miss D-Mac? Although all our corners and set pieces are dreadful (thanks Leo), we need a big target man to bundle in some headers

No you are not the only one, we drastically need a target man

D-Mac is hardly pulling up trees at Gold Coast.

Three for me, and two for them.

D-Mac is overrated. If he was not as quick as he is, no one would want him.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

He benefited by having Marco setting him up. We are missing Marco more.

He played AM against Adelaide and did nothing

Was hoping for more from him. He did seem to play deepish. It looked to me that the AMs dont have a good combination at present, noone instinctively knows who is going to make the run and so they either make passes that go nowhere like Ward has done in the past 2 games, or they doddle round waiting for something to happen and the movement breaks down.

The sooner Sanchez and Ifill get back on the park fulltime the better for us.

+1 two posts above!...seemed all at sea behind Greenie or leading the line..made no runs into a foward position that I could see....not as impressed as I thought I would be after his turn of speed in his home debut. Boro4eva2011-11-20 19:36:34

My mate saw Adelaide at the airport and he asked Galekovic why he went off. He said that he thought the player had been sent off.

That does seem a bit strange though

Back in Wgtn after a fantastic weekend in Dorkland.

- great weather, caught up with whriends and whanau, butterfly creek (expensive but good), MOTAT(awesome and cheap as chups), wandering around the viaduct.

- a great turnout for the game Dorkland - you should earn yourself an All Whites game for showing some interest in round ball.

- the game itself was quite painful as a spectator, but Ifill coming on had an immediate effect with his first time touches and reading of the game.

- had great service from AirNZ and Quality Inn - looked after the family very well.

Really a great weekend all round (shame about the draw, but).

I wouldn't go THAT far... had Auckland (and Wellington) not received so many AWs matches at the expense of other cities, then yes. Priority has to go to the regions that have gone without in the last few years, before looking at Auckland and Wellington. That being said, Auckland made one hell of a case to host any World Cup playoff match.

And why haven't you sent ME a friend request on Twitterbook?

We did (get out more).

What can be more awesome than the voyager 4-D simulator, tram rides and looking at a Lancaster Bomber and a de Haviland Mosquito?

No worries - offer was made as you got the 20+k crowd. Robb and NHpeter can be friended once I work out what any of this actually means.

I don't think it's been mentioned so far how good it was to see Gareth Morgan at the Fox; and Terry at the actual game. Past and future combining.

Would have been fantastic to see John Key there as well. Our current and future Prime Minister. I guess he was busy preparing for his winning party this coming weekend.

Its no longer a problem.

Careful, Dairyflat's head would explode if Key started attending matches.

Also my mate spotted Terry which in turn got everyone cottoned on to it and the chants going. For Terry to be there was absolute class.

He was up in the top tier in the corporate boxes. Had to crane your neck up to see him but worth it to say (or chant) thanks.

Am I allowed to say that I think pre-teen cheerleeders in skimpy outfits is not really a footy thing?

Maybe try it out at the next TW game - could pinch some of the walk-up crowd from the Oz team.

Went to game on Saturday, great to see ifill back. We looked better when he came on, but I thought Leo and Brown were very average. Too many midfielders with the same qualities, except Brown thinks he is a striker. Brown and Leo need to go, keep Smith and Lia. Push Smith further forward.

Actually, if they were wearing black and yellow outfits and Paul Ifill masks then I might get a boner and take interest.

Or is that not the point of having them?

I think they were there for locals. Who like that better than football so turned up to watch. Based on the Kingz crowds with no Cheerleaders.
