I hate the Phoenix. Away games is supposed to be where I get all pumped up for the game, smelling a whiff of away points, only to sit down, throw things at the TV in disgust, and then curl into my bed to drown my sorrows into my pillow.

Now I can't f**king sleep. 2 weeks in a row.

This, so much. The opposite is true too, when we lose it is sh*thouse. Celebrate the good times when they are here!

2nd place = Guaranteed home final!
2 Guaranteed home finals.

And time to officially appeal the ACL rule?

What's the ACL rule?

With all these home finals does anyone have a spare couch I can crash on until I get my Wellington holiday home?

ACL rule is that we can't qualify for the Asian Champions League as we are located in Oceania. Usually 1st and 2nd get automatic qualification and 3rd get a playoff.

And if you could qualify you might find your NZ players counting as foreign...

Ya dancer, what a result!

Still nine tricky games to go but we have given ourselves a fantastic opportunity to make the play-offs for the third consecutive season which would be an amazing achievement.

By the way, decent turnout and atmosphere at the Kings.

Quick question for those still up/in the know.

Shirts off: at 80 mins every game OR only if winning?

I think they're kids from Ricki's academy ( 13 yr olds) on a 10 day football trip to Sydney.

On another note , I woke up this morning with no voice , a stinking headache and no pants.Did we win?

Wrong thread I know (lazy) (less wrong now) but is Ricki utilising Greenie properly?
He did seem to be outpaced at times, so I wonder if he needs to swap with Smith.
Or something

May I just say that idf that ball from Ifill for the Sanchez miss was played by Kewell we'd still be able to hear Simon Hill and Robbie Slaterfapping about it now 14 hours later.

Or the pass to Manny - both were GORGEOUS.

I actually though the same thing when those passes were made.

I liked the commentators last night talking about Championship players.

From my eyes, Greenie seems to be utlised recently as a false 9. You can see it quite clearly on attack when Greenie either drops deep or pulls his man out wide (allowing space for Ifill or another wide player to get in front of goal). I think its actually very rare to see him in the middle of the penalty box these days, and it seems to be working well - he can hold up the ball and has a very accurate short pass. We're now less reliant on crosses and our wide players are able to cut inside into space and have more shots. You could also see this working last night with Ifill (almost as a false 10) running into the space from deep.
