When you realise that Ward was on a yeloow card at the 70th min, he wouuld have gotten a yellow for that tackle and was going anyway. It just means the suspension will be an extra game.Phoenix can appeal it.

You missed it because it wasted almost no time. He picked up the ball to throw it in, took two steps and looked to throw, nothing on, so dropped it over his head for Manny the right back to take it, who was right there behind him.

Smith! Damn almost a brilliant introduction and a big f**k you to the ref.

3 players out next week? Miserable joke this :(

Good Win,

Ricki to come out of retirement next week so we can have a full bench.

One more injury and two reds - need to find another 3 players.

So 20 players + Smith = 21

minus Lia, Pantelis and Pav as long term injuries = 18

Downey and Ifill out this week maybe next = 16

Ward and Brown suspended next week = 14

Paston carrying an injury = 13

Do we have a team for next week?

Every bit of pleasure I took in that result has evaporated.

As Dewhurst rightly pointed out, "If players are sent off for that we'll have 3 versus 3 every week".StopOut2011-10-16 18:32:33

We don't have a midfield next week!

Griffith or Greek as a makeshift right back and Sanchez/Muscat/Daniel in the middle

Tevez on short term loan

Lets use the head not the heart.
Ward was a 2nd yellow-stupid(and a bit unlucky) when you see how many players we had there to block out the danger.
Brown- 1st yellow was very stupid and 2nd, he should have know better. We were wnning 2-0 with a couple of min to play. In was unnecessary and all he has done is let his team down.I see all the crowd applauded him as he crossed in front of him. They should have been booing him.

Great game, but they need to appeal the red cards, because believe me the refs will try this all season.

I agree that Ward was going regardless so that point for me is not debatable. Had the ref pulled a 2nd yellow, there would be no angst but he was still going for the 2nd shower after Ifill..

Brown can probably feel a bit hard done by but the ref was technically right. However in the 92nd min with a 2 goal lead, thats not exactly what I'd call rationalised grounds for a 2nd yellow for time wasting.

That is complete bollocks Leggy. Players do that in every single football match you see and yellow cards are almost never shown. You are trying to make Brown the villain of the piece to paper over an absurd interpretation of the rules.

By the way Brown was excellent today, and to imagine that anyone who even remotely considers themselves a Nix fan would boo him is warped thinking to say the least.

Time to see if Clapham will sink or swim in the a league next week?

Yer bring on Clapham! He's available and ginger.

Agree Stopout - Brown second yellow was a joke - question is when did he get the first yellow? Cause according to Sky it was Ward that got that yellow so if they cocked that up and we appeal Ward should be available next week or did the ref cock it up more than we thought possible) and brown hadn't been carded?

Nah, Brown definitely got an earlier yellow for stepping in front of an attempted free kick I think. No hope there I'm afraid.

The real question next week is who is going to play for us. Aaron Clapham is not the answer (if he was he would have been signed already). Why sign another wide man when we need defensive midfielders and now TWO of them.

The only minor silver lining here is that whatever starting 11 we have realistically I consider the Perth away game unwinnable anyway. It's a damage control exercise. After which we get Brown, hopefully Ward and Ifill back into action.

Oh I thought Aaron played in the middle. And I was giving up on the perth game, just throw him in there and not expect any thing from the game. But i've changed my mnd an if manny moved out of Rb I will much more comftable

It is not bollocks. I never said that Tim did not play well. He was the villain. Who got sent off? He knew he had a yellow. He has been around long enough. When there is not long to go, refs will book players for time wasting, as it is considered a form of cheating. And yes I am pissed off with him as he has let himself, his team and the FANS down.

Ref-absolute cock.

Leo- close to my MOM ; haven't been able to say that for a while.
Manny- just did his thing.
Dura- very composed.
Ward- if he gets paid per completed pass he'll soon be as broke as Terry.
Sanchez- busy , looks like he might do OK
Greenie- very quiet I thought but worked his nuts off running.
Daniel- poor start , got better

Actually ,the whole team started slowly but got better , especially in second half. Not sure though whether that may just be that Jets were crap.

Still ; home win. Made the Bencher for a quick warm up , Jr is better and saw my mates Blackpool shirt up on the wall so very good day!
