Theres that FKN IF word again seems to appear in most of our match day threads.Shame we cant get him into the squad it might help some.

After last week that was rubbish and i have to laugh that still we have people that seem to be happy with just some sort of rubbish effort.

Bloody cricketers its all their fault obviously the players got the shakes when they found out we were watching live

Typical Nix away performance. Good start....fell asleep for the mid part of the game....concede a goal and then huff and puff for the last 30 and then lose.
Both side could have/should have scored....the Heart probably had the more clean cut chances.
Only good sign was Sanchez. Why he didn't start is beyond me. He's our best attacking mid by far. Greenacre has got progressively slower and slower as the season progresses....time for the bench. Pav looks lively and is miles quicker. Leo did some good stuff. He looks like he is getting his Mojo back.

We are now once again at the arse end of the comp. Teams like Heart, Adelaide, GC and Sydney are not great teams. We should be really putting them away. Time for a fresh starting 11 with Sanchez, Pav and Ifill leading the attack

Final ball / shot kills him everytime. It's a pity because he appears to have the potential but at some point potential has to actually turn into form or he'll be just another prospect who disappears off the radar.

He is the biggest waste of space at the Nix, gets in all the right possessions but has no brain or skill factor to make it pay off. I`ve seen plenty of superior talent in local football!

And as for Lia, how many more times is he going to give the ball away this season, as well as thinking he can score goals, lay it off to someone who can!

to be fair he's just back from injury and had pretty little game time (before or after injury)
greenacre has had one close range goal this season in a heck of a lot of game time, and with ifill and sanchez on you don't need greenacres semi-midfield deep play so much
give the lad a decent run imho

The fact of it is, is personally to me he has never impressed and is still playing like he did pre injury. I want to be proven wrong but I doubt I will be.

Agree with this he  has never shown anything since we signed him up...time to release him.

Wow. Time to release him after 30 minutes of league time this season. Igoring the financial implications and the complete lack of interest from our owners in spending more.

Yes because they're all competing with Berisha for the golden boot and were on a hat trick this evening.Hard News2011-12-04 19:31:14

At least they have shown form on the board with goal scoring feats, what has Lia had in all his appearances...1 maybe??

Brown, Lia, Ward and Bertos - pathetic.

Pav - tries hard just hasn't got it (a striker's instinct for goals).

January transfer window - sign a decent bloody striker or might as well put away the balls and cones for this season.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Time to release after what he has shown in the past, absolutely nothing, runs around like a headless chook. Had the perfect opportunity tomight to lay it off for Ifill in the box but chose to go alone.

saw Pav do at least two good things today- which is about two more than I've seen him do before.

And he's quick. with leo, Pav and Dani out there we had a wee bit more pace than usual.

Heaps mentioned about us playing well in the first 10 mins and the last 10 mins. What happened to the other 70 mins? Lots of excuses- hit the post/bar etc, but the truth is that we did not deserve to win.We keep giving the ball away and unless you have the ball, you can't score.
Lia's name popped up a few times. He just is not up to standard. The fact is the second Sanchez came on we looked like we could play. All of a sudden a bit of confidence came back into the side.If he was fit, he should be almost the first player on the team sheet.
If we play like that next game, then Perth will win. but I can't see us starting the same side as today. We have to win next week.(I think that sounds familiar)

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

pav is an utter donkey, there are ATLEAST 3 or four nzfc strikers of superior ability than him, get rid of him f**king waste of space

crossing, have nz football cut that from "curriculm" asof a decade ago? Bertos and lochead wouldn't know how to deliver a decent cross if their lives depended on it. They never beat the first man, and when bertos does he sends up balloons, minging

A frustrating loss, in a game we could (should) have won.
Sanches added a much needed spark, and needs a start next week to boost his confidence Pav also adds something, but not sure what
Ifil was good, but is just not getting the ball - too many hopefull lobs into the box
Lia is a Liability at present... and Greenacre is off the boil a bit.

Having said that, we should beat Perth at home

at least lia looks for the ball , ward is having a torrid season. And if he didnt score goals brown would struggle to make the game day squad

Dare i say it Warner actually did some good things today. Do the phoenix have a goalkeeping coach though, a lot of the goal kicking is villiage standard

I am still waiting for Pav to justify himself as a squad member since last season and he still hasn't shown himself to be decent.
Gets into good positions sometimes but often has terrible touches and decision making. I'm not sure he's worth having seeing as he's not youth anymore, If we sign another striker in the transfer window can anyone really imagine Pav getting game time again?

pav for me is really good in getting into great positions and then muffing them. if only he could score we would have a good player i think

I think Pav is absolute rubbish, and always have done.
He's the Heath Davis of the Phoenix - quick but crap.

He is embarrassingly one footed.
Apart from his speed, I cant of anything good to say about him.
He aint a footballer.
Siggy would be better up front than Pav,at least he can pass it and win some headers.

now Sanchez is a footballer, Im impressed with him.

Thought it was a very even game that could've gone either way. Away from home, not overly disappointed. Surprised at the amount of ridiculous vitriol.

dunno why pav was put on ahead on Daniel. He would be a bit gutted. Even the Daniel haters might agree that he can conjure goals from us. He is the one player that actually can cross well

I agree, Daniel has shown some decent form this year, definitely a better prospect off the bench than Pav!
