Ok, so i'm probably risking being banned from the Ring of Fire, never mind just these boards for this... but...

I hate listening to the things blasting for the entire 90 minutes all around the stadium on TV, but i've just been given a bright shiny yellow Vuvuzela and I must say, it's ridiculously good fun to play, makes a right old racket.

I figure quite a few of the White Noise crew will be bringing at least one back from SA too.

So, um, anyone keen to bring theirs along to the Boca game and play them occasionally at just this one game, to get them out of our system, before retiring them to a wall or shelf or blender (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KHFA6ZuFTE) permanently?

Or should i just shove it up my whatsazela?

Bu seriously, bring them to one game, then everyone will think its a good idea to bring them to every game. Itll get out of control. And ill have to start destroying people...I mean...Vuvuzelas...one by one.

I'd be all for destroying anyone that brought them to regular season matches. :P

Cos that's a one stop shop for complaining about them, in the world cup forum, and I was asking about what to do here in NZ.

I'd have thought the fun police would encourage them.

Yeah. aren't they banned? Vuvuzela's aren't a new thing at the ROF. We have had them in the zone before.

Back then, We just called them horns.

don't we already have those clappers and on the odd occasion blow-up clapper things..

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

They had them in South Africa too & they sounded like small babies being tortured.

There were a couple at Waikato Stadium today. Added absolutely nothing to the experience expect for annoyance. I'm not as anti as most people (though I have NO time for 90-minute blowing), but I wouldn't encourage them.

They are banning  Vuvuzela's at soccer city stadium for the rugby tri nations game SA v All Blacks,  and beliieve me the SA people are not impressed. Infact there are rumours that the Lions team in SA want to change the name from soccercity stadium to a natonal stadium, again SA people are not impressed.

I had a headache yesterday from three being blown. I hate to think what more sound like. Please leave them at home, I beg you.

The fans who chant won't use it. The fans who don't chant should be encouraged to do so before they even consider using a vuvuzela. Chanting is much more creative, personal, and sounds much better!

how ironic is it that vuvuzelas which the stadium including the phoenix openly endorsed and encouraged people to buy a few years ago are now banned because of a sporting event in another country.... reeks of hypocrisy
