Croat was a chick. This was a couple of years ago. And was mos' def Welly.

a couple of years ago we only JUST got a club running.
I went to your first game, there was 14,000 people there.

15,000
14,421

Dno't forget the 1,000+ outside who queued for ages then went to watch the game in the pub as it had kicked off and they were still in the queue.

I lost a $50 bet made a couple of months before the first game that we would get 15,000 to the first game because of the ineptitude of Ticketek and the Stadium.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

got me, my missus, my brother and his missus, 2 younger sisters, 2 cousins, plus 2 of their friends, my brother's missus's brother, and possibly some of his friends, plus atleast 6 of my mates who havnt made any games this season coming to the game.

So about 17 or more non-regulars attending with me. My work here is done.
Will they be coming back?

Smaller than expected crowd, not quite the 10. But a nice improvement over the last home game.

More of the crowd seemed to be into the chanting and cheering, so I think the atmosphere of the Phoenix games is definitely catching on.

I watched the game in a bar in Christchurch and turned to a mate and asked him what he reckoned the crowd was.  He said 7 500, and I was like 'I reckon it'll be 8 200' (not at all convinced) and when it turned out I got it spot on I yelled so loud the guy playing the guitar for the band jumped and looked up at me, completely aghast.

So I'm happy with that.

Agreed, that was the best part for me.

When Ward got sent off, the entire stadium was on their feet chanting "Who are ya?".

I don't think that's ever happened before and it look amazing.

Na they loved it and I hope to sort them out to come every week. They even got their shirts off.
And even considering going to Palmy next week.

Pretty poor crowd. We got about 9,800 for the equivalent game last year IIRC.

Not convinced we'll ever get 10,000 unless it's a finals game to be honest.
