I can't take credit for that. I saw it somewhere (but was unable at the time to "share" it from my iPhone).

For the non-Wellingtonians () the background to this is that Wellington Airport and the Wellington film industry (or at least some in it) want to put a "WELLYWOOD" sign on the hills of Wellington.

Like many others I think it is tacky and Wellington doesn't need tacky.

Yes indeed ... but I feel that Ahmad needs CRITICAL MASS in order that the Phoenix get the BIG SEND OFF they deserve.

If anyone can spare an hour, I am happy to pick up 4 PAX (HA HA)   from outside the Nix shop at 1.30pm and can return you to the city at approx 2.30 .. their plane leaves at 3pm.

If you are, I shall also phone the Nix Shop / Ryos to see if they had a banner / flag they could lend us for an hour.

Ahmad has just twittered/tweeted to say that Qantas is all decked out for the Nix departure. He's at the airport now!

He also says they're now expected there as early as  1.15 - 1.30 so anyone who wants to go had better leave now ...

Qantas staff all in Phoenix polos. Immigration also going to be decked out in yellow!!!

Inside word is team will arrive on time at 1:30 due to wanting to settle nerves!!

Beggars Can't Be Choosers ... Ahmad's cardboard sign was a big hit, several players genuinely  apologised for not having tickets to give him!!!

And big ups to Qantas .. they had gone to big efforts to jazz it all up ...

Yes! He was so well organised .. it was pages and pages, all photocopied and everything with the Fever logo on the top! I saw your message on the print out Tom, so you can be sure they got them. He gave one of the copies to Siggy, I know that, so they could read them on the plane.

Yep definitely. And the Qantas manager was awesome. Let me use their photocopier to print out a few more copies of the support messages for the boys. I was handing them out randomly to players as they walked in and then gave the remainder to Dura who stuff them into Ifill's backpack for safekeeping.

And Cboz - I told the guys they could stick them on their lockers for inspiration :)

Awesome hope they see that I'm Phoenix til I die at half time and play out of their skins for me :D
