Correction:  Chatted to Siggy. At least I think we had something that resembled a conversation.

Surprised some of them had family waiting.  If I was the partner of any out of 5 of them I'd leave them due to such a poor performance.

Nah, been an awesome season and credit to all of them.

Made the trip worth it for you then?

They gave us a great season and if the last game didn't turn out so good well them's the breaks. Being out there just seemed like the right thing to do.

Anyway it was nice seeing the wee kid getting almost the whole team signing his shirt. He had goalie gloves on as well as his full phoenix kit and scarf, but he said the only name he didn't get was Liam Reddy...I don't know who was more excited about all that - the kid or his dad (good on ya for taking him out there mate).

There were a couple of press photographers there getting lots of shirt-signing shots and it was pretty funny that the TV camera turned up after practically everyone had gone - they looked a bit lonely.

Plane got in 11.20 pm. Most of team was on board including a TV1 camera man. All were in good spirits although disappointed. All the supporters on the plane were treaded to a fun trip back.

Most players were happy to talk to any one at airport, so much so they missed unloading their bags off conveyor.

Looking forward to next year.

Yeah I was going to ask but from the mood of the posts here it seemed quite a sombre occasion and I wondered if any were taken at all...

Crap one off my phone. Can see the young man there in his shirt. Liam Reddy was a ninja, never saw him walk past, all of a sudden there he was with the other players.

They all looked shattered and keen to get home for some rest.
