for Perth,let me say i am very happy he has decided to join the
Phoenix and you bet i will be among those giving him a big welcome
when he plays his first game home game.

Thats great, I'm sure lots more will join you. I can remember giving Covs and Danny Hay a hard time when they played against the Knights. Covs didn't deserve it!

Just checked, got the lines right. As for leo, i don't care if
he doesn't score, so long as he can keep supplying the chances for
the forwards to do their job. His crossing is much more effective
than you-know-who's.

Unfortunately now the focus will go off football in he media
because the Phoenix aren't playing. That means transfer news will
take a back seat sadly. Let's hope that changes eventually.

I've emailed both channels on the assumption they had failed to give football the credit/profile it deserves. (i know Scribbler suggested other ways, but this will do for tonight)
Glad the dom treats the club and fans better than those two media (though to be fair, tv three is usually ok to good).
If the dom can remember that Wellington has a professional sports team , with a returning local lad surely the other media can too! (It's only been a week since the season finished -and O-league might well be approaching -how hard can it be??!!)
Perhaps a few more reminders from others might wake the tv channels up!

the BB, move to the 4 Kings for some further beers and chasers and
then over to Mermaids. Don't let the lad put his hand in
his pocket all night.

Mermaids are running pool specials on Tue & Wed nites now. $30 & a pair of speedos gets you in the pool for 10 mins.

I can't remember where I posted them
but if they're still accessible, maybe someone can
throw in a link.
Just remember, it always makes sense to think
through your tactics before letting fly at the media
and alienating potential allies. Which reminds me...
Great to see so many positive posts on this forum to Fred's
recent piece in the DomPost on the Nix first season in
the A-league. It was a well thought out article, positive
where it was deserved without papering over the obvious
cracks. Good journalism.

Yeah ! Bertos is the man!!!
He'll go great under Rickie...just what the team needs. I
remember how well he played when the All Whites played Brazil. He
was the best AW on the park(Moss was good too)_
Not surprised he got Gilberto's top....he skinned him clean
making a 40 metre run. A Brazilian patted him on the back
afterwards... sort of saying " well done mate"

I think Bertos is a great signing. He always stepped up a gear when
he played against the Phoenix ( trying to impress his future
boss no doubt) and an extra gear after that whenever he played in

Absolutely agree. Juninho has been total class in the last few
Sydney matches!
As for Leo, he's an awesome signing. Perfect fit for the club
and great to have more Wellingtonians in the side!

Talked to Leo on Friday and he is really excited at the up coming
campaign with the nix, him and his wife Laura need to sort out a
few things in Perth, officially his contract doent expire till
June, so just ironing out a few issues at the moment.
