better fist at it than the Knights did.

Don't worry mate, we'll be doing our very best! Hopefully
learn from the mistakes of the Knights, get some (quality) kiwi
players and build up good support before the season
starts! Disappointed to lose Jonas Salley to you guys, you
got a good one there. Maybe we can host you in the
capital an away match next season...

Third Victory fan here, wishing the team good luck, against
everyone except Melbourne.
If the shirt is the same as the logo, Wellington are going to have to best top. Except for Melbourne, of course.

cheers aussie fans! it's a privilage to be part of it and to have a
second chance. i'm sure wellys won''t let you down.
can't wait for the strip - should be class.
i'm sure the yellow fever will be deligted/relieved that terry
managed to include some yellow? what are the chances of the
team wearing yellow shirts?

Love it mate. Works well with the colours selected.

Congrats on getting this thing up and running... its REALLY
important that your club can be accepted by the Wellington
community. Hopefully 'yellow fever' (cheesy as name by the way :p)
can produce some good atmosphere at games.
Try to keep things as 'traditionally footall' as possible,
because that's what sets us apart from other codes. If you can make
your mark with some top class chanting and support, it'll be of
great help to your new club.
All the best

Would make a decent 2nd strip, but I really want to see those stripes from the logo.

welcome to the league, yes i am another melbournite.
Congratulations on the logo it is easily the best in the league,
unfortunatly you wern't ableto have a traditional name as well (it
isnt that bad but reminds me of netball, due to a melbourne team
shareing the name) though atleast pheonix has meaning to it with
the rebirth thing.
hopefully you guys can get a black and yellow striped strip instead of a generic one like most team, but most importantly good luck for the future, i hear that wellington is abit more of a sporting town than auckland (like melbourne as aposed to sydney) so that may help you out.
keep the support traditional but most importantly vocal and active. good luck.

Let's make it clear lads. Reebok don't do stripes, don't do
hoops, and don't do quarters.
It will be a miracle on a par with loaves and fishes if it doesn't look exactly like the strip I posted with the colours varied... roll on the day the Reebok deal finishes and we can go wherever we want for strips...

High to you aussie football fans dont have any worries about
us in Wellington we know how to support our teams in this part of
godzone. In a short time the only thing your teams will look
forward to is the nite life after the game.
GET YOUR SHIRTS OFF FOR THE BOYS

I think if they do go with the strip as pictured they will need a
cracking second strip because that isn't going to jump off the
shelves. Hopefully there will be more yellow on it, this
isn't the Knights, and NZ Football has never been associated with
black. But not a lot that we can do excep wait...

The FFA won't want Yellow because of the clash with the Mariners,
maybe the Phoenix name was a Trade off to be allowed a Yellow strip
though ?
While I like the white I suspect this is what we'll get.

I hope not,I know nothing about creating strips but that is
boring.Sorry to be harsh.

We're stuffed by the Reebok Template...

So are you telling me if Reebok sponsored the Geordies they'd not
wear stripes?

Good Luck Guy. Hopefully this team gets it right. Be good to see
you at least end up Mid table. Look forward to watching the games.

Question for our Aussie welcoming committee ...
what's regarded as the best away trip for a travelling footy
fan?

If Reebok supplied kit to Newcastle they would sell many hundreds of thousands of kits a year so they would make stripes.
A-League clubs get to play with the standard template (unless they get 50,000 to games and whine really loudly about wanting a V on the shirt) because the market has a somewhat different profile.

Anywhere other than Adelaide and Gosford. Let's face, they are
just small country towns.
I've never been to Wellington, but they say it's similar to
Melbourne, just smaller. So you might like to come here. Plus you'd
love the support in the Dome.

Chivas disagree

Sao Paulo's strip is also not to template.
Perhaps they made exceptions for 'big' clubs with traditional kits, but I don't see why they wouldn't have stripes when they are embedded into the badge.

Sorry, I left out 'for the A-League'
I think you forgot somewhere... Newcastle ?

I hope they change and prove me wrong but I know people involved in design discussions with Reebok on other A-League sides strips and they were told in no uncertain terms that this is your template and this is what you can work with...

You won't wear white though. Every other A-League team's away strips are white and I'm sure they'll want ONLY your away strip to be white. I have a feeling they might let you have stripes if it's in the logo.

Welcome from another Red :D
Hopefully you'll be a success, and hopefully we can get some stripes in there for you :)

Welcome to the A-league,
I like your Kit, it looks really good, better than some of the ones in Aust. Now all you guys need to do is win some games. But Nz's form at the end of last season was good so heres hoping it continues

How did Melbourne manage a V? Surely that's not part of the Reebok
template. Maybe Wellington will be lucky and get stripes.
That's not the kit for Wellington.

No. it's just a fans hope.
Someone involved with another A-League side told me that designs for most new home tops were submitted in December.
Hard to tell how much the lateness of the Phoenix decision will affect time lines. Would be very surprised if Wellington's shirts will be ready by June like the other clubs.

Welcome aboard from a Glory fan!
I'm glad to still have an NZ team in the league, so good luck for next season and hope you manage to make it work this time :)
Hopefully both the kiwis and Perth Glory do a little better next time round :)

Welcome to the A-League! I must admit I was howling for the blood
of the Knights since half way through the first season. "It's the
A-League, and A stands for Australia! If we wanted NZ to be
included we would have called it the ANZ-League and got a bank as
our major sponser!" So obviously I was still a bit angry when I
found out Townsville had missed out and a Wellington Franchise had
got in instead.
HOWEVER!
Having seen your owner, fans, logo, coach, plans etc I can
already see that you will be a far greater and more long lasting
club than the Knights. I will be hoping you do well.
Re: best away trip for travilling fans
Keep in mind that I am biased towards NSW cause I live here!!!
Just cause we are federated colonies doesn't mean we like the other
ones too much!!!)
Sydney- Great beaches, touristy stuff like the Harbour Bridge,
best fans!!!, and the key to my pro-NSW sales pitch, the nearby
location of, only a one hour train trip away:
the Central Coast! So go on a weekend when Sydney is playing
Wellington, and Central Coast is at home to hopefully Newcastle for
the derby, or else whoever.
But Melbourne is pretty cool too.

best fans in NSW maybe, not the a-league, ever been to the dome?? infact i seam to remmember a game last year where you were outsung at home. and your crowd sizes dont lend support to the idea that you are the best or most loyal fans, or the biggest club.
back to wellington strip. i cant see why you wouldnt be able to get stripes, you just need to make sure you push hard for it, from what i have heard we got our V because we insisted on it, you should do the same
