+1

Hard to rate the boys low, as they really looked like they could take it, and they gave their all.

Cheers Nix for the great season. Let's have some real off-season excitement now, and do this all again next season.

And so the long, dark season of the soul begins.....the off season is here.

(1) Given how we started the season, our boys turned in an epic performance. Thanks lads for your mighty, mighty efforts. Some great memories- who would have thought (except the Great Predictor!) that this would be our best season ever, in spite of all of the crap our team was being subjected to a few short months ago.

(2) To those about to depart, we salute you.

(3) Thanks to the best fans in the League, beyond any discussion, disagreement or argument. Through thick or thin and in a fairly sh*te economic situation the hard core has always been there. OK, only just over 10k at the last home game, but the atmosphere generated was as good as anywhere else in any code in Australasia.

A thought to keep you warm through the Winter, and to take into the next season......

Remember.....

+1. There's no shame in having come back from a horror off-season to be knocked out in the semi-finals in extra time, playing away and with a craptacular ref.

Thanks Nix Players, management and owners for a great season - given all that had gone on in the off-season from hell

Proud to be a Nix fan!!

Looking forward to next season.

The Nix remain the best thing in NZ sport and best thing in Wellington in any respect. Life is just so much better with the Phoenix.

Thank goodness we've got Euro2012 to blunt the pain of the A-league off-season.

Also two all whites friendlies in may, Olympics for our women's and men's team, Oceania wc qualifiers and I think the women's under 20 and 17 are on too.

Loads of football to keep us going

All I asked was that we put in a good performance and I think we did; played probably some of the best football we have all season. Just unlucky that Siggy went down.

Well done to all and sundry who had some involvement in the season. Be you a supporter, player, back office staff, playing staff or a ball person in the driving rain. Thanks for a great season. It been a pleasure to share.

As all of the above...

...AND...

...I think the numbers of Nix fans in the away zones in so many of our games this season was a highlight for me. Not just a dozen, but 50 - 250... and not just the odd occaision either. Absolutely brilliant effort. Those pockets of yellow and black are growing in Australia, and it's awesome.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Just to add my thanks to all the lads and Welnix a big thank you.

Words for me cant say what a thrill its been, we have been from the outhouse to the penthouse over the season and what a trip its been.

I may be a bit older than some but hey it does the heart real good to be there in the ROF with its second to none atmosphere, Wellington soccer has never been this good for me in 40 odd years. When can I renew my season ticket ?????? because next year will be our year and I intend to be there all the way.

Again thanks to everyone at the Nix including Terry S for his vision, it may not have gone the way he wanted it but history will say it the way it is.

Thanks again to all the players and Ricki your spirit and determination made this season very special. Have a good break, good luck to Tim in your studies. See you all back in October.

Go the Nix.

this

I've been really amazed at the number of Nix away fans I've seen on the telly this season. I would imagine that we had probably the 3rd largest away support at Victory (if not equal to the Sydney & Adelaide crowds there)

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Just to clarify, that Greenie goal was one of the best I've seen from us this season. Manny's was pretty special too. I had 5 rugby loving people surrounding our projector that night - all cheering on the nix.

For all the doom, gloom and low expectations - to go out like that in a minor semi final - probably just a defenders injury away from the major semi, well I am very proud to be a nix supporter.

Looking forward to next season.mikecj2012-04-09 12:42:53

That would be www.trophymanager.com.

Come and join the Yellow Fever friendly league. It's great fun.

yeah I suspect we'll be dominating the active topics during the offseason.

In between Euro, olympics and the AWs friendlies of course! There is plenty of football to keep us occupied, unlike the awfully long offseason last year.

Loved our fans at times out singing the home fans. Awesome effort. Hope to join them for a game in the future.

To welnix thanks again for stepping in to take over the club (especially Lloyd who lead the charge - RIP) hopefully we will see the fruit of your investment in this club next season.

All the best to players, enjoy your well deserved break.

I hear that football sport is quite fun.

Does require a certain amount of getting off the couch but.

Yeah, Judy does bow on Airship, and she can't swim at all. The idea is you stay ON the boat.
