I'm not sure if there is a thread like this elsewhere, but I thought it could be a good one to have, particularly for out-of-towners.
I'm looking at staying in a backpackers in Wellington this weekend for the Boca game and thought it would be good to hear from anyone out there who recommends a particular place. Any tips? I'm going to need a place with parking (or some sort of parking option) as I'm driving down.

It's not backpacking rates but I've stayed here a few times when wanting a big night out on the town http://monviecentral.co.nz/serviced_apartments.php & have occasionally got a room for $80 by ringing Felicia direct on 021 650 905. Its central and extra clean and some rooms have abit of a view
but if you have bucks then my fave Wgtn place to stay is the Holiday Inn Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Parking on the road outside. I have always got a park there so shouldn't be a problem.

www.wotif.com is the best place to find rooms at a good rate...probably a bargain or two to be had too.

I love this place. Cheap and decent. Can't comment on parking as I have not needed a car on trips here
