Hi guys,

I'm one of two WSW fans flying over for our game next Sunday.

First time to Wellington, first time to NZ.

I thought I'd ask you guys for some advice on what to do for the away trip.

Landing at 2pm Saturday and leaving 6am Monday so don't have the most time there.

What's the best thing to do in Wellington? I really have no idea about Wellington, other than it's where the Nix play and has the Bee Hive.

Best place to spend Saturday night? Good eating places? Any cool or interesting activities that are highly recommended?

And where's the best place to drink before and after the game on Sunday?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Pregame come to the 'the pub' on the terrace (http://www.thepub.org.nz/ ). It's our local.  Post game it is usually closes so some tend to head to Four Kings, a sports bar on the corners of Dixon St and Taranaki St.

Saturday night - Most of the bars and restaurants can be located in and around Courtenay Place.  Should be ableto find an eatery and bar that you like.

Most tourists catch the Cable Car from Lambton Quay up to Kelburn to take in some of the city views.  If u r fir you can walk up Mt Victoria for more great sightseeing.  Harbour and city meet/mix well so a walk around waterfront if its fine day is great..start at city end and go east and out to Oriental Bay..cafes etc.  Te Papa is a great free interactive museum on the waterfront route..world class IMHO.  Sunday markets at eastern end as well.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

Thanks for the responses guys.

I'll head in to the pre match pub for a few drinks, I've been told you're a friendly lot.

Otherwise I'll be the guy at the other end of the stadium in the empty away bay, with the WSW banners (which I'm assuming I'll take in with a backpack? You don't have Nazi Security too do you?) and the large Australian flag!
