"Wellington had the chances to get something out of this" argues Brett from Leopold Method

Brett from Leopold method has written an article analysing the match between Sydney and Wellington.
Before you groan and ask, why would I want to go there again, the article does shed a new positive light on the pessimistic situation, but still argues for dropping Plan B and reverting back to Plan A

Article preview:

We’re all familiar with the football cliché “they could have been five up at half time”. Of course it is applied to a team that has created lots of good chances but converted few of them. Rarely would you hear its inverse, that a team “could have been one up at half time” when they have in fact created not that much but converted everything. If it did exist, that cliché might apply to Sydney FC in this incredible match.

Unfortunately it doesn't matter how we swing it - we still lost 7-1 to a team that isn't that great. I agree that first half was one of the weirdest I've ever seen, though - had so many chances.

Patrick.  Send Nik a note to move it.

The more we ask the more he'll get sick of asking and set up the facility to move it.

This article is not up to DP standard.  There is way too much analysis and discussion on tactics.

How the author didn't manage to conclude that the coach should be sacked is beyond me.

As there are too many facts I think Worthingon and Bidwell can feel safe in their jobs.

Agreed, just not enough question marks and leading statements for a DP article.
