Hi to all Wellington Phoenix fans!

My name is Markus and I am writing a Master's thesis on fan identification with Wellington Phoenix.

Surprised that there was no question asking where the respondent lives. You would need this to put the results in context.

Well sorry about that but geography has no bearing on loving the Nix or not.

And I fully do,so any person that has a problem with this can blow my vuvuzela.

Enjoyed doing the survey Markus, was a dedicated fan of the Kingz and Knights before the Phoenix, My home of the Eastern BOP makes it hard to attend many games in Welly, but I'd love to!

Good survey, am afraid the likes of out of townies might give you some strange results though (have lived in England since 06 and only been back to NZ once during a Nix season).

@tigers: The discipline is Management with a focus on sports management.

I am really enjoying the topic of this thesis as I am a big fan of Wellington Phoenix and football in general.

I did that paper at vic back in 2003. . . I think my research essay was on ametuer football club management... I interviewed some staff from a couple of wellington clubs from memory. Not a bad paper to throw in if you're doing a BCA.

Hi,

I will share my results with both Wellington Phoenix and in this forum. As I don't expect anyone to be keen to read a 120 page thesis, I would like to write up a summary with the main findings. This project finishes at the end of February 2011. I am planning to use this forum (possibly this topic) to include a link to the summary of findings shortly after completion.

If you have further suggestions on that, I am happy to discuss them.
