What was being said about Chelsea beating Everton again?

As much as I dislike quoting myself, here's something I wrote in an article a few weeks ago which sums up my feelings towards Cruse, Zullo et al

Despite what the rules say, football is a contact sport and some challenges hurt. But if UFC World Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture can defend his title with a broken arm, why cant football players get up after being clipped in the ankle and run it off instead of rolling around like they have been shot?

Didn't really get much of a look at the Elrich elbow, but it cast my mind back to the previous week or was it the week before (?) , when one Phoenix player got elbowed in the ribs in the penalty area and nothing happened, apart from a review a few days after and a 2-match suspension for the dude that did it.  If Elrich gets a red for elbowing, shouldn't this guy as well??

It really made me pissed off, but the thing that pissed me off more, was Dodd's handball.  What was he thinking putting his hands up, he could've jumped and turned his back, or at least put his hands out of the way, did he think he was playing rugby charging a kick down??  And he did it with 10 men down and while Queensland were struggling to make Phoenix pay for the red card.

However, Dodd did have a good game overall as did most of the Phoenix players, a pity about Felipe not being brought on.

I know this is a bit off topic but did anyone notice one of the advertising hoardings behind our goal in the first half (couldn't help but notice as so much play was down that end). Anyway, loud and proud in full view was a hoarding for'Sunshine Kebabs'. Can't the Roar get better sponsors like that? It's like the Nix having the Hadi Gari, or even worse say, Medway fish 'n chips alongside Qantas, Hyundai, Interislander etc etc. Terry would never let it happen. At least off the field we are a class act even though there's some work to do on the field.

It's completely off topic, but I'll reply anyway.  I think anyone who is prepared to put money into the game should be applauded.  We're not so awesome that we can afford to be snobs about who we get for sponsorship.  If Abrakebabra want to put hand in pocket and pay for an advertising hoarding then I wouldn't scoff, I'd go and buy a farken kebab.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Yeah I noticed that and had a laugh.

Think they've got the Kebab sponsors on their shorts, or sleeves, as well. Remember seeing it and having a chuckle. Agree with Smithy tho', anybody whi  is willing to stump up their dosh to support the game, they should be applauded.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I wonder if that's the same Kebab shop I saw last time I was in Brissy that sold a PORK kebab?

Damn Queenslanders - can't make coffee, food is sh*te, culturally inept, and cheat at football.

Makes me happy to live in Wellington where I nearly got blown onto Wakefield street yesterday in peak hour traffic. :P

Anyway, double standards suck. That is all.
