Hey lads

Im heading over from Newcastle to watch the game and have a holiday.
Some of ya have email us about a game but we simply dont have the numbers for a game. Only 2 of us heading over at this stage that we know of, so may be a tad one sided. But we will at the pub before and after the game.

So just have a few questions
Where is pre drinks?

Im trying to get tickets for the away bay. What one is it. We have tickets from the Jets but they are on Half way. Rather be behind the goals.

Are we able to hang banners over the fence? guess as long as no sponsors it will be ok?

Might bring me megaphone and drums aswell lol,

Whats the best way to get from Airport to wellington CBD? We are staying at Down Town Backpackers, they said its in CBD.

Ill think of some others aswell.

BTW my tip for game is jets 2-1.

Wellington to get a early goal and Jets get double in 2nd half.
Scores will be
Wellington: Smeltz
Jets: Bridge and J.Griffo

thanks Lads

Come out of the airport. Drive through town until you get to the port. Catch the Cook Strait ferry and the CBD is right there when you get off.

Taxi to Downtown Backpackers from the airport - probably around $30 or so. Or bus it to the Railway station. Its across the road from the station and if you walk through the station and along the platforms there are ramps at the end leading up to the main concourse to the Stadium. Only about a 10 minute stroll if unimpaired by alcohol.

However you probably should get impaired by alcohol pre-match to soften the pain of defeat you'll experience later on. The Backbencher is only a 5 minute walk. Head out the front door of the Downtown, turn left and go til you see a funny looking building like a beehive. Thats the Beehive. Stop and cup your right hand by your ear - just follow the noise to the right.

 -either buy tickets at the stadium before arriving at the pub (the pub is located within staggering distance of the stadium), or order your ticket online from Ticketek (at your own risk);

http://premier.ticketek.co.nz/shows/show.aspx?sh=PHOENEWC07

 - there's a section on that website that's called 'overseas supporters' section' (but not sure where that is in the stadium)

Thanks for the Directions lads.
yea ill be at the pub for pre drinks. After all, It will be football day!. Might get tickets on the Saturday or something. Yea i seen that on the website, but it rejects my visa card for some reason, So have to buy them when im over there. For each away gam Jets give us tickets, but they are normally on Halfway. I wont be able to stand on halfway, so heading for the Away bay.

Win lose or draw, its all about supporting the Lads playing for my team.

Well, get the ticket on halfway. Then go into the stadium and sit in the away bay. It was very empty for the Melbourne game...

Not in my experience. I've never had my ticket checked. Not even for Hurricanes games.

If you were playing the Knights in Auckland it'd be a tad one-sided in Newcastle's favour.

22.

Hot bed is Rows BB, AA and A -E (ish).  If you can't get in to 22, head for 21.

i must say a huge thanks to very one that i meet on my weekend in Wellington. Had a brillrant time and was topped of by getting 3 points i think we didnt deserve.

Good times at the Bench Backpackers before the game, Sadly didnt make it back there after the game as we got a invite to celebrate the win with the Lads in town.

But yet again thanks to very one, had a great time and ill defo be back over again, hopefully with some more lads!

If anyones is planning to come to newcastle for a game, just give me a buzz and ill help out where ever i can.
