So true, found mine runs out next month damn it! Aussie authorities wont let you in unless there's 5 months or more on it.

Really worried about asking boss for time off. He's been very patient with me thus far getting time off. Got two weeks off over New Years, this last weekend off for the Newcastle game, two weeks off for a trip to Tonga next month - don't know how far I should push really.

You could try an emergecny renewal? Will cost you a bit, but they might be able to squeeze it in before Saturday :)

This is where I was a step a head I realized by passport had expired earlier this year so I rushed to get photos and an application form 2 weeks back and got my passport made within one week.

It was at 15 left for Welly when I ran like mad down Lambton Quay to alert Phil at RYOS about it (sorry to the man in a suit and tie that I almost bowled over).
And it's still showing 15.
I thought people were begging for cheap flights - well here they are

Are there any requirements regarding validity of passports to travel to Australia? New Zealand passports need be only valid to cover immediate travel arrangements.
i.e. not past your intended travel dates so if its not expired youre fine
